Hella Single is a comedic podcast from Outthat uncovers the dating lives of queer creatives and influencers. Hosted by Lamont Baldwin, the show plunges deep into personal dating stories and funny questions to uncover the real reasons behind their single status. Listen above.

Eli Liberty shares an exclusive glimpse into his dating life on the latest episode of the Hella Single podcast, offering insights into his newfound status as a sex symbol and the reasons behind his single status. Hailing from Chicago, this multifaceted queer singer-songwriter and actor captivates audiences with his high energy performances and sultry vocals. Since his debut in 2018 with Cry for The Moon, which delves into the complexities of relationships and self-discovery, Eli has emerged as a powerful voice in queer music.

Eli is currently preparing for another remarkable milestone with his main stage debut at the Black Queer AF Music Festival in Houston, Texas, this May. His latest single, "Energy," is also making waves, charting in the Top 100 on iTunes shortly after its release — an impressive feat for a queer indie artist. Eli is establishing himself as a formidable contender in the future of queer pop music. Currently, he is hard at work in the studio, meticulously crafting his highly anticipated new album, Enigma, set to launch on digital streaming platforms in the second quarter of this year. With each step, Eli is not just making music; he is redefining the landscape of queer pop.

The singer-songwriter, whose previous relationships have faced their own challenges — evident in projects like He Cried Pink — is ready to be more transparent with fans in this new era of music. “I feel like my old music, of course, is me, but I feel like there's so much growth that I've gone through as well. So in order for me to continuously update my fans and people who support me with where I am, I feel like I have to continuously create. I feel like I need to have an update of, okay, this is where my life is,” he explains.

When asked about his single status, he shares, “It's been a while, a long while. It is by choice. Currently, there's nobody trying to take me off the market, which I'm cool with.” The Pisces pop star has been navigating the single life for the past seven years.

Eli, who is embracing his identity as a sex symbol, acknowledges that he wasn’t always this confident. When asked how he feels about the title, he shares, “I mean, I definitely have grown more into myself. It's been like a long self-love journey that I've been going through, essentially. So me working out and everything and showing my body, it took a long time for me to really get there.”

While Eli has expressed being open to a serious relationship again, he is not interested in a monogamous setup. He shares, “Monogamous relationships are very interesting. I adjusted to being open to polyamory. I just don't feel like people can do monogamy, unfortunately.”

Energy is available on all music streaming platforms.
