Swifties across the internet are theorizing what the meaning behind the new song is.

All right Swifties, it’s time to put your internet sleuthing skills to test because we’ve got a mystery to solve!

Taylor Swift’s music frequently inspires fans to pick apart every lyric looking for clues to the song’s meaning and whether the singer-songwriter pulled inspiration from her own life and her newest release is no different.

There was a new drop from Swift today in the form of a re-recorded album called Speak Now (Taylor's Version). The tracklist includes all of the songs from the original album plus six new tracks from her “vault,” including the song that has every superfan on the hunt for clues: “When Emma Falls In Love.”

Swifties are already proposing theories — some are wild leaps of logic and others make a ton of sense. Fans have theorized it could be a reference to the Jane Austen classic Emma, or a reference to Emma Watson of Harry Potter fame, or even a made up character.

But the leading theory — at least among fans on Twitter — is that the song is about Swift’s long-time friend Emma Stone and her former flame Andrew Garfield, who she met on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man. The “You Belong With Me” singer met Stone in 2008 at the Young Hollywood Awards and they’ve been friends ever since.

"I'M 100% SURE THIS IS ABOUT EMMA STONE AND ANDREW GARFIELD AND I'M ABOUT TO COLLAPSE," one fan wrote on Twitter.

Other fans were picking apart lyrics trying to find connections.

"'Little miss sunshine' -Taylor Swift talking about Emma Stone 'She was being bathed in sunlight' -Andrew Garfield talking about Emma Stone I am not okay," another Swifty wrote.

“Taylor swift wrote a whole song for emma stone. My friends don't even reply to my dms,” someone else quipped.

While many believe that the song is clearly about the Grammy-winner's friendship with the actress and Stone's three-year-long relationship with Garfield, other fans were quick to point out that the timeline doesn’t quite line up because the Cruella actress was dating Kieran Culkin at the time Swift was writing the song.

Unless the "Shake It Up" singer comes out tells us herself we may never know the true meaning behind the song, but there are remarkable similarities between the lyrics of the song and Stone's own life.

On the track Swift sings,“When Emma falls in love, she calls up her mom, jokes about the ways that this one could go wrong.” Stone has a famously close relationship with her mom and stayed by her side while she battled cancer.

Later she sings, “She waits and takes her time, ’cause little miss sunshine always thinks it’s gonna rain.” The "little miss sunshine" line could be a reference to Stone's staring role in Easy A where she sang Natasha Bedingfield’s song “Pocket Full of Sunshine.” Although fans have also pointed out that Garfield once described Stone as “ being bathed in sunlight.”

So are you convinced or do you have another wild theory?
