Lady Gaga just teased the release of the first LG7 single & we're hyperventilating
Get ready for a Little Monster Autumn!
Lady Gaga was already poised to take over the fall season with her Oscar-hopeful performance as Harley Quinn in the upcoming Joker: Folie a Deux film, which releases on October 4, and now, she's just secured her spot as the Queen of Halloween!
Gaga is currently in Venice, Italy for the Venice International Film Festival where her movie Joker: Folie a Deux is premiering on Wednesday, September 4. In addition to doing press for that movie, she also teased something that her fans have been wanting for a long time: the release date for the first single off her upcoming seventh solo album! In a photo on Instagram, Gaga posted her schedule for her Venice trip, which features a welcome dinner, a red carpet, a world premiere, and press junkets. It also has two "Date Importanti."
The first, October 4, is when Joker releases in theaters.
The second simply reads "XX October: LG7 first single."
It's all happening!
In March, Gaga updated her fans on the upcoming album, which will be her first since 2020's Chromatica and 2021's Love For Sale with Tony Bennett.
“Well, listen, I'm working as fast as I can,” Gaga told beauty YouTuber NikkiTutorials. “But I will say that I’m feeling deeply inspired right now, and I’m so excited for everything that I have to show all the fans, and I’m deeply grateful for everybody’s excitement in my creativity.”
She also gave fans in Paris a tease of the album after she sang at the Olympic Opening Ceremony earlier this summer.
"I'm so deeply touched by my French fans this week outside the hotel - I'm gonna come out and say goodbye tonight [black heart emoji] with a few seconds of #LG7," Gaga wrote on her Instagram story at the time.
Now we finally know the first single will drop sometime in October!
Gaga is also rising fast on the charts with her latest epic collab, "Die With a Smile." The duet, which also features superstar Bruno Mars, debuted at number three on the Billboard Hot 100, and quickly rose to number one on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts after debuting at number two on each chart last week.
It was previously announced that the single will not appear on LG7.
