Saddle up, Chappell Roan fans! You will soon be able to visit a real-life Pink Pony Club, and then stop by the bar across the street that actually inspired Roan to write the song.
In honor of the 2024 Spotify Wrapped results where Roan is just one of two out musicians on the platform's most-streamed lists, Spotify is launching a pop-up in West Hollywood, California.
According to WeHoTimes, a local news outlet, the pop-up is a "part of Spotify’s 2024 Wrapped celebration" and will feature "dazzling neon art" and "plenty of Instagram-worthy moments for fans and visitors."
The side of the building reads: "This year, 300k+ people streamed Chappell Roan after midnight," referencing a song on her critically acclaimed album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. It will reportedly not sell alcoholic beverages or merchandise.
This Out editor actually stumbled into Roan at Mickey's in West Hollywood in 2021 and asked her which bar inspired the Pink Pony Club. She confirmed that it was indeed The Abbey. How fitting that it will be just across the street from the Pink Pony Club pop-up, "a special place where boys and girls can all be queens every single day."
Visitors can gallop to the Pink Pony Club at 8954 Santa Monica Blvd. It will reportedly be open for a few weeks in December.
