Singer P!nk delivered a powerful message of affirmation to trans people across America while speaking on stage at a recent aid concert for victims of the Los Angeles wildfires.

P!nk, who also performed at the event, was introducing a performance by John Mayer when she said, "Ladies, and gentlemen, and every other gender that absolutely exists... I give you, the incredible John Mayer!"

The comments were in reference to one of President Trump's executive orders, titled "Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government."

The directive declares that the federal government will define sex as only male or female based on "the immutable biological reality of sex."

The FireAid concerts were organized to raise money for those affected by the recent Los Angeles wildfires, in which 29 people died and over 50,000 acres burned, according to the California Wildfire Incidents page.

P!nk said during her performance:

"If you're hurting, I'm hurting with you. My heart is with you,” Pink said, speaking openly to the crowd. "I'm going to keep my feet on the ground tonight. And I'm going to sing a couple of songs that bring me comfort. And I hope that they do the same for you all."

Other artists who performed included Billie Eilish, Green Day, Joni Mitchell, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Stevie Nicks, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Gracie Abrams.
