The Sabrina stans have spoken!

Sabrina Carpenter's newest album Short n' Sweet is causing quite the buzz online, and a particular song off the record, "Slim Pickins," is the topic of conversation amongst the gays! Why you ask? It has something to do with a certain well-known queer hookup app...

Did Ms. Carpenter use the infamous Grindr notification sound in her new song? That's the question some of Sabrina's fans are asking on the internet — and they seems to be sure of it!

We listened to the track ourselves, and while it's not completely obvious and it takes a few listens to try and notice, we can kind of see where they're coming from. (Again, heavy on the kind of...) But whether it's just the strumming of the track's heavy banjo or an actual sampling of the Grindr notification sound so many gays are used to hearing on a daily basis, "Slim Pickins" is going to be iconic in its own right.

And the potential use of the Grindr sound isn't the only thing stirring up the conversation and making the track gay AF! Carpenter also sings the lyrics, "And since the Lord forgot my gay awakening," seeming to humorously lament why God made her attracted to men.

We don't know exactly what all of this means, but between those words leaving Sabrina's lips and her kissing Ortega in her latest video... we are here for all of it!

Listen to "Slim Pickins" for yourself in the player below. Sabrina Carpenter's new album, Short n' Sweet, is available wherever you stream music! (Pop is sooooooooo back!)
