What's your battle cry? The Wicked sing-along album is finally here

Fans can now rehearse their battle cries at the end of "Defying Gravity" with the Wicked movie's latest release!

On Friday, Dec. 20, Universal Pictures and Republic Records released the Wicked: The Soundtrack (Sing-Along) album, which offers a really exciting experience for fans of the movie. Overall, this sing-along version allows listeners to literally sing their favorite Wicked songs along with the official background vocals in the cast.

And this isn't just some run-of-the-mill karaoke track! The production in this sing-along version of Wicked: The Soundtrack is a magical experience that allows fans to feel like they are embodying their favorite characters while listening to full orchestral arrangements, speaking parts, and backing vocals from the actual stars of the film.

Just like that, filming a singing collab with Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, and/or Jonathan Bailey is now just one click/tap away.

On Nov. 22, the same date when the Wicked movie premiered in theaters, Wicked: The Soundtrack was released on all streaming services and as physical copies. This LP features the songs exactly how audiences hear them in theaters.

A second album, Wicked: The Original Motion Picture Score, was released two weeks later, on Dec. 6. That album contains the original score of Wicked, which aren't the musical numbers (with choreography and dancing) seen in the film.

In under a month, the Wicked film has broken all kinds of box office and streaming records. It is now the highest-grossing movie of all-time based on a Broadway musical. Upon its release, Wicked: The Soundtrack had the highest debut ever for a theatrical adaptation of a stage musical on the Billboard 200 chart and marked the biggest sales week for any soundtrack this decade.

Fans have even more to look forward to, as Universal Pictures is releasing sing-along screenings of Wicked on Christmas day. Over 1,000 theaters in the United States, Canada, and select international markets will be able to buy tickets for interactive sing-along screenings that include on-screen lyrics and even a special introduction from Erivo and Grande.

The world is still holding space for this Wicked phenomenon — and the Wicked: For Good sequel is now less than a year away from its grand premiere.
