New York City is a Mecca of Pride. After all, our LGBTQ+ elders and pioneers (like Marsha P. Johnson) started the modern queer rights movement at Stonewall in this very city we call the Big Apple. This history of LGBTQ+ stories and legends run deep within the city's bars and nightlife. From gatherings in the Washington Square Park to block parties in the West Village, the feeling of Pride took over the city this past weekend for the final days of Pride Month 2024. The streets were full, the bars were packed, and the love was EVERYWHERE, as evidenced from all these pictures of queer joy from our sister publication The Advocate.
The spirit of Pride radiates in every parade float and on every street, making NYC the ultimate Pride celebration destination. Whether you're sashaying through Christopher Street or dancing the night away at the Stonewall Inn where it all started, the energy is uncharted and the stories are endless.
