Always and forever!
When fans of RuPaul's Drag Race think of some of the most iconic queens to ever enter the werkroom, Alyssa Edwards is one name that always immediately comes to mind.
From tongue pops to sickening lip syncs and some of the most hilarious moments seen on the Emmy-winning drag franchise, Edwards is now competing for a third and final time on the inaugural season of RuPaul's Drag Race Global All Stars.
"For me, this is a victory lap. I'm learning so much about myself yet again. I got chills right now sharing this. After All Stars 2 and Dancing Queen on Netflix, I'm standing in my destiny," Edwards tells Out.
In the first episode of Global All Stars, Edwards and Kween Kong won the variety talent show for their unbelievable performances.
While delivering critiques, RuPaul got emotional as she praised Edwards for being "a star." Plus, she even told the Texas queen that she's so proud of the entertainer that she's become today.
"I was very nervous going back on the show because Ru has watched me over all these years. She watched me grow. There's a part of me that [wishes] that I was one of the queens that wasn't necessarily judged by Ru. That's the inner saboteur that Ru talks about. I lived it and I learned from it and I grew."
After two very memorable competitive runs on Drag Race, Edwards wants nothing more than to finally win the crown on the show that made her a household name.
"I never got crowned from season five to All Stars 2, but I always felt like I got the bigger win in the end. If it were to happen this time, it would be like a happily ever after. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be. If it's not, I will still be able to close this chapter with a whole heart."
