American Horror Story: Delicate Releases New Posters, Announces Premiere Date

This is going to be one creepy, crawly pregnancy!

Get ready for one wicked birthday!

FX has announced when the next season of American Horror Story, entitled AHS: Delicate, will air, and this is one birth announcement we can’t wait for!

AHS: Delicate is adapted from the Danielle Valentine novel Delicate Condition, about an actress trying to get pregnant through IVF treatments. After her doctor tells her she’s suffered a miscarriage, she’s sure she can still feel the baby moving inside her and wonders if something sinister is going on.

AHS: Delicate will be split up into two parts, with Part One premiering on FX September 20, and streaming on Hulu the next day.

Delicate stars AHS mainstay Emma Roberts, along with newcomers Kim Kardashian and Cara Delevingne. It also features Zachary Quinto, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Matt Czuchry, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Odessa A’zion, Debra Monk and Julie Monk.

There are also two new posters, one starring Emma Roberts and one starring Kim Kardashian. In both new posters, the women are posing like they are pregnant and showing off their large, pregnancy bellies.

However, instead of the curve of a belly, it’s the large, rounded body of a spider with its legs sprawled around its mother.

Does this mean that the mysterious pregnancy in the show will lead to a woman giving birth to spiders? Will we see some body horror a la the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark tale about a girl who had spiders lay eggs in her face or The Fly when Genna Davis’ character gives birth to a wriggling maggot? Or are the posters simply metaphorical?

We’ll learn all the secrets to this mysterious pregnancy in September, when the new season airs.
