Let's take a trip down memory lane!

Now we’re all crying!

Dan Levy has shared a memory from a decade ago when he first began filming his acclaimed, Emmy-winning comedy series Schitt’s Creek, giving us a trip down memory lane.

In his Instagram stories, Levy, who co-created Schitt’s Creek with his father Eugene Levy, celebrated the 10th anniversary of his first day on set for the show by sharing a screenshot of an email that contained the call sheet for the first day of filming.

“Ten years ago,” Levy wrote on the image.

Schitt’s Creek starred Eugene and Dan Levy as Johnny Rose and his son David, who along with matriarch Moira (Catherine O’Hara) and daughter Alexis (Annie Murphy) lost all their wealth and were forced to move into a motel in a small town they had bought as a joke years earlier.

Throughout their time in that town (the titular Schitt’s Creek), they make new friends, find love and new purpose in life, become better people, and become a better family.

The show, which ran for six seasons, also starred Jennifer Robertson, Chris Elliott, Emily Hampshire, Dustin Milligan, Sarah Levy, and Noah Reid.

The first season aired on CBC television in Canada and on Pop TV in the United States. When it started airing on Netflix following the third season, the show got a bump in popularity, and became one of the most beloved comedies of its time.

Throughout its run, Schitt’s Creek won over 60 awards, with Levy himself winning 17 awards for his work.

In 2020, Schitt’s Creek swept the comedy categories at the Emmys, winning nine total trophies, including Writing, Directing, all four acting awards, and Outstanding Comedy Series.
