The Dead Boy Detectives are on the case!
The new trailer for Dead Boy Detectives, a new Netflix spin off the celebrated series The Sandman, has landed, and we are hyped!
“Meet Edwin Payne (George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri), ‘the brains’ and ‘the brawn’ behind the Dead Boy Detectives agency,” the show’s official description reads. “Teenagers born decades apart who find each other only in death, Edwin and Charles are best friends and ghosts… who solve mysteries. They will do anything to stick together – including escaping evil witches, Hell and Death herself. With the help of a clairvoyant named Crystal (Kassius Nelson) and her friend Niko (Yuyu Kitamura), they are able to crack some of the mortal realm’s most mystifying paranormal cases.”
The trailer has us meet the two ghost detectives, who seem like they’re going to become closer than just best friends as the series progresses!
“You are my best mate, I wouldn’t want to be dead with anyone else,” one says to the other.
The series is also packed full of supernatural craziness, including demons, Death herself, psychics, zombies, killer clowns, possessions, trips to Hell, and all sorts of other nightmares. It honestly looks like it’s going to be one hell of ride!
Dead Boy Detectives comes from showrunners Steve Yockey and Beth Schwartz, and is being produced by Berlanti Productions. It premieres on Netflix April 25.
