It’s officially Monsoon season on Doctor Who!

Two-time RuPaul’s Drag Race winner and Broadway star Jinkx Monsoon has finally revealed the first-look images of her character on the upcoming season of Doctor Who.

Though details about Monsoon’s character are still being kept a secret, a few conclusions can be drawn from this character’s costume. For instance, the outfit features piano keys, which could imply that Monsoon’s character will be infused with musical abilities. Others have pointed out similarities between Monsoon’s hair and the Hocus Pocus character Winifred (played by Bette Midler) – so perhaps there’s something witchy to this new character in the Whoniverse.

What’s more, according to the caption from the official Doctor Who page on Twitter, Monsoon’s character will be “the Doctor’s most powerful enemy yet!”

A video of Monsoon wearing her costume was also shared by the official Instagram page for Doctor Who. The Queen of All Queens said in the video:

“I’m Jinkx Monsoon, and this is my costume for Doctor Who.”

Monsoon is joining the Whoniverse on the heels of her record-breaking Chicago run on Broadway and her fierce live performance at the grand finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15. The Queen of All Queens is also hitting the road this summer with the Everything at Stake tour across North America.

Needless to say, we’re shaking in our boots with excitement about Monsoon appearing as a main villain on Doctor Who!
