It’s a chop, literally!
Hulu has just dropped the first trailer for its brand-new reality competition series, Drag Me to Dinner, featuring several drag performers going up against one another in a battle to throw the best dinner party of all time.
Several RuPaul’s Drag Race queens will be featured in the series as contestants. In turn, Neil Patrick Harris, Bianca Del Rio, and Haneefah Wood will appear as judges. “A show about drag queens cooking and drinking,” Del Rio says in the trailer, “what could possibly go wrong?”
According to this preview, Drag Me to Dinner will serve up some camp, glamour, comedy, and plenty of chaos.
Standout scenes in the trailer include Manila Luzon making some kitchen, Symone “vibing,” Heidi N Closet holding a pan, Jinkx Monsoon and BenDeLaCreme serenading the judges, and Alaska announcing: “I didn’t come here to make friends. I came here to make dinner.”
The format of the competition is described as follows:
“In each episode, two teams of successful drag queens go head-to-head to throw the most fabulous, awe-inspiring, dinner parties of all time, and be crowned champion.”
The library, uh, kitchen is officially open!
Drag Me to Dinner premieres May 31 on Hulu.
