The beloved Netflix teen drama Élite is coming back later this month for its eighth and final season.
"The arrival of siblings Emilia and Héctor Krawietz, leaders of Las Encinas alumni association, shake the school foundations," Netflix's official press release reads. "Influential, powerful, corrupt, and corrupters, the Krawietz will scatter chaos wherever they go and will destroy the lives of those who fall prey to them. Only Omar will be able to face them and will be willing to do anything to see them fall because, in the end, they represent everything that has always been wrong in Las Encinas."
Élite fan-favorite Omar Ayuso is returning to the series alongside cast members André Lamoglia, Valentina Zenere, Mirela Balić, Gleb Abrosimov, Fernando Líndez, Nadia Al Saidi, Ander Puig, Carmen Arrufat, Mina el Hammani, Iván Mendes, and Maribel Verdú. Meanwhile, actors Ane Rot, Nuno Gallego, Alexandra Pino, and Mario Ermito are the newcomers of the season.
Since its first season, Élite has been a progressive and scandalous show that contains explorative LGBTQ+ characters. Throughout its seven past seasons, the series has included storylines about people living with HIV, the dating life of a transgender man, and several queer relationships/dynamics between characters — exploring desire, lust, love, loss, and power.
Overall, Élite is always a thrilling watch, and we're sad to see it end!
