We're Probably Not Getting Euphoria Season 3 For a While
It looks like Zendaya will have to wait to win her third Emmy...
According to a new development, the third season of HBO’s popular (and controversial) teen drama series Euphoria won’t even begin filming until the second half of this year, much later than we originally thought.
The news was revealed in a report from VogueVogue about Euphoria actor Maude Apatow starring in Little Shop of Horrors on Broadway. The report states that Apatow has always dreamed of performing on stage, but since she began filming Euphoria, she hasn’t had time to, as she’s been busy filming that.
Now, according to the article, season 3 isn’t scheduled to begin shooting until the “latter half of 2023.” That means that the wait for the next season will be even longer than we thought.
Previously, Collider had reported that season 3 was set to start filming early in 2023, as soon as February. However, now that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Euphoria infamously takes a long time to produce, with reports saying that each episode takes a month to film, and single scenes can take multiple days to get right.
So if the new season isn’t expected to start shooting for another six months, it could be a truly long, long time before any episodes actually see the light of day.
Apatow also revealed that as of now, she knows exactly as much about season 3 as we do. In fact, she hasn’t even seen a script for the new season yet.
“I honestly don’t know a single thing,” she told Vogue when asked about the new season. “We should be getting scripts and hearing about next season soon-ish, but I’m totally in the dark!”
Hopefully, we’ll all get to see the light of Euphoria season 3 soon. In the mean time, the first two seasons of Euphoria are available to stream on HBO Max.Euphoria Season 2 Trailer | Rotten Tomatoes TVwww.youtube.com
