The 'Fellow Travelers' Stars Are Sharing Adorable Behind-the-Scenes Pics

The cast of ‘Fellow Travelers’ clearly had a blast filming the show!

Set in the 1950s, Fellow Travelers tells the story of forbidden queer love between Hawkins Fuller (Matt Bomer) and Tim Laughlin (Jonathan Bailey).

Due to the prevalent McCarthyism that swept the nation, LGBTQ+ people were definitely not safe to be their most authentic selves and have romantic relationships at the time depicted on Fellow Travelers. That political inclination hugely affects not only Hawkins and Tim’s gay relationship, but also supporting characters like Marcus Hooks (Jelani Alladin) and Frankie Hines (Noah J. Ricketts).

Bomer, Bailey, Alladin, and Ricketts were unable to promote the TV series while the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) strike of 2023 was still going on. Fortunately, however, the strike ended while Fellow Travelers was still airing on Showtime, which allowed the actors to share new behind-the-scenes pictures from their time on set.
