Our hearts are skipping a beat!
The highly-anticipated second season of Heartstopper has finally secured a premiere date on Netflix: August 3, 2023.
In season two, Nick (played by Kit Connor) and Joe (played by Joe Locke) will be navigating their new relationship now that everything is out in the open. In the meantime, Tara and Darcy will face new challenges, whereas Tao and Elle are about to find out if they can be more than friends. The upcoming season also includes a school trip to Paris, final exams, and prom.
Brand-new footage from these fan-favorite characters can be seen in the teaser for Heartstopper season two.
“There’s so many things that happen with Elle this season that you’re not ready for,” Yasmin Finney said in the teaser. “I would say that she’s more confident. She surrounds herself with people that elevate her.”
Connor praised the season two scripts from Alice Oseman, noting that they’re “cool and fresh and a different vibe from season one.”
“Charlie goes on a journey this season.” Locke pointed out. “His story’s a bit more mature.”
We can’t wait to binge-watch this new season!
Heartstopper season two premieres August 3 on Netflix.
