The BBC is getting ready to release an all new queer-centered reality dating series entitled I Kissed a Girl, that will follow a group of women who get matched up and try to find love.
"Love lost? Situationship gone sour? Don't worry, Dannii's back playing Cupid this summer," an X post from BBC Three announcing the series said. "And this time she's doing it for the girls..."
The show will follow 10 single queer women who go to an Italian villa and will be matched into pairs and will meet "with a kiss" to test their chemistry. Over the next weeks, they'll get to know their partners and test their relationship, deciding if they want to stay together.
The series is a spinoff of last year's hit series I Kissed a Boy, which was the same format, but about queer men. That show was hosted by Dannii Minogue and featured voiceover by Strictly Come Dancing star Layton Williams.
The new series will keep Minogue as the presenter, but will feature lesbian comedian and TikTok star Charley Marlowe as the new narrator.
“I Kissed a Girl will serve drama, smash stereotypes, and promise more twists and turns than ever," the show's description reads.
When the spinoff was announced, Minogue wrote: "After showing love truly is for everyone with I Kissed A Boy, I am thrilled to have the chance to be Cupid for girls in the second series. I’m so excited to see if we can find more connections, chemistry, and hopefully love sealed with a kiss. Here come the girls."
The first two episodes will premiere on BBC iPlayer on May 5, and new episodes will air on BBC Three every Sunday and Monday.
