Interview with the Vampire Season 2 Underway After AMC & SAG Reach Deal
Sex, power, and blood will be back in Interview with the Vampire, as the highly-anticipated, upcoming second season of the series can now resume filming after AMC agreed on a deal with the currently striking Screen Actors Guild (SAG).
Deadline was the first to report the news, noting that Interview with The Vampire and two Walking Dead spin-offs will resume production. The agreements are specific to these three shows and do not mean that other AMC shows will resume production.
Interview with the Vampire had begun production on its second season earlier this year, but was put on pause in July It will now resume filming in Prague.
The show follows New Orleanian vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) as he tells his story of immortality, murder, vice, and sex to human journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian). His story begins when he meets Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid), a mysterious French vampire who turns him and introduces him to a new world.
While the 1994 movie starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt shied away from showing the homosexual nature of the two vampires’ relationship, the show leans into it, making it one of the sexiest shows on television.
If you weren’t able to catch season one, good news! The first season is now available to stream on Max! The seductive vampire show will be available for streaming on Max all spooky season, running from September 1 to October 31.
