Louis de Pointe du Lac is back!

Our favorite queer vampires are coming back!

Interview With the Vampire season two is coming this May! The beloved and deeply sexy queer series about an immortal vampire telling his life story is coming back in just a few, short months, as AMC has announced that season 2 of Interview With the Vampire will debut on May 12.

In the new trailer, Louis is trying to deal with the aftermath of his attempted murder of Lestat de Lioncourt and trying to forge a new way forward.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the new season continues to see Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) telling his life story to human journalist Daniel Molloy (Erig Bogosian) “after the bloody events in New Orleans in 1940 when Louis and teen vampire Claudia tried to kill Lestat de Lioncourt. The adventure continues as Louis and Claudia escape to Europe on a quest to discover Old World Vampires and the Theatre Des Vampires in Paris, and it’s there that Louis meets vampire Armand. Louis and Armand’s love affair will prove to have devastating consequences both in the past and in the future.”

“Who are you, Louis, who are you outside of me?” Claudia asks Louis now that they’ve freed themselves of Lestat’s influence, at least temporarily. “If there was no me, and there was no him, who would you be?”

The new season sees the return of stars Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid, and Eric Bogosian, and features Delainey Hayles playing Claudia and Assad Zaman playing Armand. Other new cast members include David Costabile, Roxane Duran, and Bally Gill. Season 2 of Interview With the Vampire debuts Sunday, May 12 on AMC and AMC+.
