Over the course of Dancing With the Stars season 32, Jason Mraz proved himself to be an incredibly captivating celebrity and a very talented dancer. During most weeks, Mraz either received the top scores of the night or was within the top three of the competition.
In the end, Mraz and his pro dancing partner Daniella Karagach finished as the runners-up of DWTS season 32, and many fans believe that they were robbed. But despite not taking home the Mirrorball Trophy, Mraz seems very happy with his journey on the show and the new fans that are now following his journey as not only a singer, but also a bisexual man who’s living as his most authentic self.
Scroll through to watch all of Jason Mraz’s performances on Dancing With the Stars season 32, which is now available for streaming on Disney+.
During his first performance on Dancing With the Stars, Mraz danced the cha-cha-cha to his very own song, “I Feel Like Dancing,” which felt very fitting! The performance earned three scores of 7, making it a total of 21. As a result, Mraz had one of the top scores of the night.
Mraz spent another week in the top two of the competition with his rumba performance of Andrea Bocelli and Jennifer Lopez’s “Quizás, Quizás, Quizás.” This time, the singer got three scores of 8 that added up to 24 points.
He can’t help it that he was born to jive! Mraz received the highest scores of week three after performing the jive to The Contours’ “Do You Love Me.” With Michael Strahan’s guest appearance as the fourth judge in the panel, Mraz received two 8s and two 9s, reaching a score of 34 that put him at the top of the competition.
Disney Night is always a fun week for Dancing With the Stars, and our bicon delivered a gorgeous Foxtrot performance of “A Whole New World” from Aladdin. The judges gave him three scores of 8, for a grand total of 24 that kept him within the top three of the week.
Mraz’s quickstep performance to Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again” was, yet again, pretty incredible! The fans and the judges kept being amazed by him, which led to three 9 scores and a total of 27.
For his main performance in Monster Night, Mraz delivered a contemporary dance to “Zombie” by The Cranberries. Niecy Nash-Betts appeared as the guest fourth judge this week. Overall, Mraz earned four scores of 9 and a total of 36 for the night.
The DWTS contestants had to work on a bonus “Monster-thon” performance in week six to the tune of the Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive” and Kris Bowers’ “Grim Grinning Ghosts.” Mraz’s part in the number earned him three bonus points, which secured his “safe” placement this week.
Week seven challenged the DWTS contestants to do an individual dance and a group number. Mraz and Karagach’s performance to “Take On Me” by A-Ha earned them the highest individual total score of the night: 35.
As week eight moved along, Mraz and Karagach then had to go toe-to-toe in a dance-off against Barry Williams and Peta Murgatroyd. Both pairs danced to Whitney Houston’s “It’s Not Right But It’s Okay,” and the judges determined that Mraz lost the dance-off. Thankfully, our bicon was not eliminated from the competition despite that loss.
For Taylor Swift night in week nine, Mraz danced the Argentine tango to “Don’t Blame Me.” After that performance, Mraz got a perfect score of four 10s, shooting up to the no. 1 spot in the competition with a total of 40 points.
Week nine also featured a “dance relay,” where Mraz and Karagach went up against Charity Lawson and Artem Chigvintsev. Both pairs danced to Taylor Swift’s “Lavender Haze (Felix Jaehn Remix),” and Mraz got his full redemption moment by actually winning this round against another pair.
The semifinals of Dancing With the Stars season 32 featured a Viennese waltz from Mraz to the tune of his own song, “I Won’t Give Up.” Unfortunately, Mraz found himself among the three lowest-scoring couples of the week, but he was ultimately saved and moved forward in the competition.
Mraz delivered two stellar performances for the grand finale of Dancing With the Stars. For one, he danced the Foxtrot to Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon” and earned a perfect score of 30.
At the finale, Mraz also performed a freestyle dance of “Happy” by C2C and Derek Martin. Yet again, the singer received a perfect score of 30. Unfortunately, Mraz finished as the runner-up of DWTS season 32, but fans couldn’t be happier with his overall performance throughout the competition.
To cap off his incredible journey on Dancing With the Stars, Mraz delivered a colorful and exciting performance of his song “I Feel Like Dancing” – which he danced to in the very first week on the show. Talk about having a full-circle moment!
