Jodie Foster just won her first ever Emmy!

The out icon can add another trophy to her iconic shelf!

Jodie Foster is a first-time Emmy winner!

The legendary actor won her first ever Emmy for her role as Detective Liz Danvers in the crime drama True Detective: Night Country.

Before accepting her speech, Foster kissed her wife Alexandra Hedison.

"This is an incredibly emtional moment for me because True Detective Night Country was such a magical experience, and it all comes from the top," she said, shouting out writer and director Issa Lopez, the crew, and her co-star Kali Reis. "And mostly the indegenous people, the Inupiat and Inuit people of norther Alaska. They just told us their stories and allowed us to listen, and that was a blessing. It was love, love, love, and when you feel that, something amazing happens that's deep and wonderful and is older than this place and this time."

She was also nominated as a producer for the show. Her co-star, Kali Ries, was also nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category.

Foster beat out Brie Larson from Lessons in Chemistry, Juno Temple for Fargo, Sofia Vergara for Griselda, and Naomi Watts for Feud: Capote vs. The Swans.

Foster has previously won two Academy Awards on five nominations, won three Golden Globes, and has been nominated for two Primetime Emmys, one for directing Orange in the New Black, and one for producing the made for television movie The Baby Dance. She was also nominated this year as a producer of True Detective.
