From royal gay prince to royal gay lover!

Following the massive success of Prime Video’s Red, White & Royal Blue, Nicholas Galitzine is making his royal return in the Starz historical drama miniseries Mary & George, which is based on Benjamin Woolley’s 2017 book The King’s Assassin.

Galitzine plays George Villiers on the show. He is the son of Mary Villiers, played by Julianne Moore. As the story goes, Mary shapes her beautiful son to become King James’ “all-powerful lover.” Besides seducing the king, the trailer shows George having sex with a few other queer characters.

The first teaser trailer for Mary & George, which is scheduled for a 2024 release, can be watched below.

The official synopsis of the series reads:

Mary & George is an audacious historical psychodrama starring Academy Award-winner Julianne Moore (Still Alice) and Nicholas Galitzine (Red, White & Royal Blue), about a treacherous mother and son who schemed, seduced, and killed to conquer the Court of England and the bed of King James I. Based on a scandalous true story, the seven-part limited series is coming to Starz in 2024.”

Besides Galitzine and Moore in the leading roles, Mary & George also features Tony Curran as James VI and I, Samuel Blenkin as Charles I, Laurie Davidson as Robert Carr, Nicola Walker as Elizabeth Hatton, Sean Gilder as Sir Thomas Compton, Niamh Algar as Sandie, Trine Dyrholm as Queen Anne, Adrian Rawlins as Sir Edward Coke, and Mark O'Halloran as Sir Francis Bacon, among others.

We’re so ready to watch Nicholas Galitzine’s George slaying and screwing his way to the top!

Mary & George premieres on Starz in 2024.
