Tarlos lives on.

On Monday, May 1, Fox announced that it was dropping the flagship 9-1-1 TV series, which is now moving to ABC. Nonetheless, the network has renewed 9-1-1: Lone Star for a fifth season, which means that fan-favorite gay couple TK Strand (Ronen Rubinstein) and Carlos Reyes (Rafael Silva) will be just fine. Thank goodness!

The entire fourth season of 9-1-1: Lone Star has been leading up to TK and Carlos’ wedding. Going into season five, Tarlos will officially be a married couple already. To celebrate the renewal of the series, Rubinstein shared a shirtless video in a sauna while listening to Kings of Leon’s “Sex on Fire” in the background. The actor said:

“Let’s f*cking go, baby! Season five, y’all… we did it! Thank you to everyone that helps making this show possible. This show is a wild one, and it takes multiple villages to make it happen. Thank you to everybody involved: the cast, the writers, the producers, the directors, the crew, everybody. And to you guys, the best fans in the f*cking world… excuse my language, I’m just too hyped right now. I love you guys, this one’s for you.”

Since starting their romantic entanglement, TK and Carlos have gone through many ups and downs on 9-1-1: Lone Star, putting Tarlos fans through the wringer quite a few times. Alas, the on-screen couple will finally get some peace of mind by tying the knot in the series.

Knowing that 9-1-1: Lone Star likes to keep things dramatic with twists and turns, one can only guess that Tarlos will still face quite a few obstacles even as a married couple. In any event, it’s incredible news that this show was picked up for another season despite the cancelation – and subsequent network move – of the flagship 9-1-1 series.

We’ll always be rooting for Tarlos!

9-1-1: Lone Star airs Tuesdays on Fox.
