Watch the All Stars 9 finalists react to the winning queen's crowning
Editor's note: this post contains MAJOR spoilers for the grand finale of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 9.
The eight queens of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 9 went into the grand finale with their Variety Show solo performances, different voting strategies for the Double Diamond twist, and a galvanized determination to win the lip sync for the crown in order to enter the coveted Drag Race Hall of Fame.
After awarding three Beautiful Benefactress Badges to the winners of the "Slay It Forward Variety Extravaganza" and revealing the winner of the Double Diamond voting, the top 3 queens with the most badges were Roxxxy Andrews (5 badges), Vanessa Vanjie (5 badges), and Angeria Paris VanMicheals (6 badges). The competition came down to the top 3 queens lip syncing for the crown to Janet Jackson's "Rhythm Nation," and Angeria was crowned the winner of All Stars 9!
In the official finale reaction video with Angeria, Roxxxy, and Vanjie, the Drag Race legends sat down together to watch the announcement that Angie was crowned the winner. The season 14 star looked gooped and gagged when Mama Ru announced her name as the All Stars 9 champion — almost falling out of her chair, in fact.
Thankfully, Roxxxy and Vanjie were two supportive sisters who came to Angeria's rescue and held her up to watch the rest of the episode.
Despite its non-elimination format, All Stars 9 was a competitive season full of iconic runway moments and unexpected challenge winners. Angeria and Roxxxy did come off as the two queens to beat for most of the season, and their friendly "eye for an eye" rivalry throughout the competition also added an exciting element to the reality show.
Angeria has now officially entered the Drag Race Hall of Fame, earned a crown and scepter, and earned a $200,000 donation to the charity she represented, the National Black Justice Coalition. Having previously won $31,500 for the NBJC through her performance all season long, Angeria's winning run on All Stars 9 amounted to a total donation of $231,500 to the organization.
Condragulations to the Southern Belle of ATL!
