"Teeny-eeny waist with a huge empire" — and she meant that!
Plastique Tiara has officially tied with Katya as the second most-followed RuPaul's Drag Race queen on Instagram. As of this writing, both Katya and Plastique have 2.7 million followers on the social network. They're only behind Trixie Mattel, who's been in the no. 1 spot for a few years and currently has 3.9 million followers.
Even though Plastique was already hailed as the Drag Race queen with the most followers across all social networks, this rapid growth on Instagram comes on the heels of her journey on All Stars 9, which is still streaming new episodes every Friday for the next few weeks.
Plastique had 2.4 million followers on Instagram prior to competing on All Stars 9. This means that she's added at least 400,000 new followers to her legion of fans.
It's entirely possible that, by the end of All Stars 9, Plastique will have surpassed Katya and perhaps will even crack the 3-million mark.
The Vietnam queen first appeared on Drag Race season 11 and placed eighth overall. On All Stars 9, however, Plastique has been showing off and showing out — with a track record that includes four maxi challenge wins, four Beautiful Benefactress Badges, and not a single time cut by the Ruby Snippers.
Plastique, who's representing The Asian American Foundation (TAAF) on All Stars 9, has won the Ball challenge, the advertising challenge, the Roast challenge, and the design challenge of the competition.
We love to see the Drag Race queens thriving in their careers, outdoing themselves, and reaching an even wider audience. You better werk, Plastique Tiara!
New episodes of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 9 are streaming every Friday on Paramount+.
