Editor's note: this post contains MAJOR spoilers for the season 15 finale of RuPaul's Drag Race.
You’re a winner, baby!
Anetra, Luxx Noir London, Mistress Isabelle Brooks, and Sasha Colby made it all the way to the top four of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 and competed for the title of America’s Next Drag Superstar at the grand finale.
The top four finalists had very different track records as they headed into the season 15 finale. As the two main frontrunners, Colby got to the final episode with four maxi challenge wins and zero bottom placements, whereas Anetra won three maxi challenges and lip synced for her life twice. Having lip synced for their lives once on the show, London arrived at the finale with two maxi challenge wins, while Brooks won one challenge.
The finale episode of season 15, which aired on Friday, April 14, showcased each of the four finalists delivering individual performances in a similar way to the season 14 finale. Meanwhile, Orville Peck had a special presentation on the main stage, and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 7 winner Jinkx Monsoon performed “When You’re Good to Mama” fresh off her Broadway run in Chicago.

Brooks entered her finalist era with a performance that was all about a term she’s coined throughout the season: “Drag Delusion.” Not only was her song a real bop, but Brooks served stunts and choreography during her number as well. Unfortunately, though, Brooks did not move on to lip sync for the crown.

As expected, London gave us fierce posing and dancing during her solo performance at the Drag Race finale to the song “It’s Giving Fashion.” There’s no denying that she has been the queen of references this season, as well as one of the strongest look queens on the runway. Alas, London didn’t move forward to the top two of the competition.

Anetra had a stunts-heavy solo number to “Lotus” that showcased all of her abilities as a drag performer, dancer, and lip syncer. Fans had been expecting a performance like this from Anetra all season long, and this queen did not disappoint. Mama Ru then declared that Anetra qualified as one of the top two finalists of season 15. However, she ultimately lost the lip sync for the crown.

After her solo number all about being a true “Goddess,” Sasha Colby qualified to lip sync for the crown against Anetra. Both queens delivered a gag-worthy lip sync to the tune of “Knock on Wood” by Amii Stewart, which is exactly what the fans expected from this final lap of Drag Race season 15. Between her fierce face journeys and outfit reveals, Colby ultimately outperformed Anetra and was crowned America’s Next Drag Superstar by Mama Ru – taking home a cash prize of $200,000.
