Every 'RuPaul's Drag Race' season with multiple crowned winners

The RuPaul's Drag Race franchise has evolved over the years to include annual All Stars seasons and international shows, and even those international shows are now building up their own All Stars-esque seasons as well!

With so many drag competitions taking place yearly, several regular seasons of Drag Race now have multiple crowned winners within the greater franchise. While the most common occurrence of this phenomenon is two queens from the same season, we already have cases of three queens from the same original cast who all got crowned.

Before we proceed, it's worth noting that we're only taking into consideration queens who competed in the same regular season of Drag Race, which means that we are NOT including costars from the same All Stars seasons. (Otherwise, these connections would get way too convoluted!)

'RuPaul's Drag Race' Season 2 — Tyra Sanchez; Kylie Sonique Love

The artist formerly known as Tyra Sanchez — now under the stage name of King Tyra — was crowned as the winner of Drag Race season 2 back in 2010.

11 years later, season 2 star Kylie Sonique Love became the first out trans queen in herstory to enter the Drag Race Hall of Fame after winning won All Stars 6.

'RuPaul's Drag Race' Season 4 — Sharon Needles; Chad Michaels

In 2012, Sharon Needles spooked up the competition and was crowned America's Next Drag Superstar on Drag Race season 4.

Only a few months later, the flagship series launched its first-ever All Stars, which brought back fan-favorite queens for another shot at becoming a champion. Chad Michaels, who also competed in season 4 and made it to the finale, came out as the winner of All Stars 1.

'RuPaul's Drag Race' Season 5 — Jinkx Monsoon; Alaska

The iconic (and never-ending) "Monsoon season" was kickstarted in 2013 after Jinkx Monsoon won the 5th season of Drag Race.

Jinkx's season 5 costar Alaska came into All Stars 2 with a "galvanized" attitude that ensured her well-deserved spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame in 2016.

In 2022, Jinkx returned to the all-winners edition of All Stars 7 and was crowned a champion once again… becoming the first two-time Drag Race winner in herstory and bringing in another crown to season 5.

'RuPaul's Drag Race' Season 7 — Violet Chachki; Trixie Mattel

Season 7 of Drag Race crowned the fashion-forward Violet Chachki as America's Next Drag Superstar in 2015 — and time has proven how correct that decision would be when it comes to her inclusion in the winners' circle.

In 2018, Trixie Mattel was cast on All Stars 3 as much more than just a comedy queen who didn't stick the landing back in season 7. Trixie was ultimately crowned the winner of All Stars 3, and since then, she's only become an even bigger success story.

'RuPaul's Drag Race' Season 9 — Sasha Velour; Trinity The Tuck; Shea Couleé

Sasha Velour had a very impressive track record throughout season 9 and out-performed her competitors in the first-ever lip sync for the crown on Drag Race.

Two years later, season 9 finalist Trinity The Tuck returned for All Stars 4 and ended up winning the season (in an unforgettable tie with Monét X Change).

On All Stars 5, it was Shea Couleé's turn to snatch yet another crown for the cast of season 9 — turning it into the first-ever Drag Race season with three winners overall.

'RuPaul's Drag Race' Season 10 — Aquaria; Monét X Change

The landmark 10th season of Drag Race crowned Aquaria as its champion, which felt like a perfect celebration of the series' first decade while giving us an insight into the next 10 years of the franchise.

Just one year after finishing season 10 as the title holder of Miss Congeniality, Monét X Change, won All Stars 4 (in a tie with Trinity The Tuck) and left her mark in the Drag Race Hall of Fame.

'RuPaul's Drag Race' Season 11 — Yvie Oddly; Ra'Jah O'Hara

Season 11 is another season that features two Drag Race winners. First and foremost, the queerdo queen herself Yvie Oddly steamrolled her competitors and was crowned America's Next Drag Superstar in 2019.

In 2022 (three years later), Yvie's season 11 costar Ra'Jah O'Hara won the first edition of Canada's Drag Race: Canada vs. the World and became a crowned champion of the franchise as well.

'RuPaul's Drag Race UK' Season 1 — The Vivienne; Blu Hydrangea

Even though The Vivienne was a clear frontrunner and well-deserved winner of RuPaul's Drag Race UK season 1, many fans also appreciated how Blu Hydrangea elevated the level of makeup artistry that we could see in the UK series.

In 2022, Blu returned for the first-ever UK vs. the World edition and was crowned by Mama Ru herself — adding a second crown to the cast of Drag Race UK season 1.

'Drag Race España' Season 2 — Sharonne; Drag Sethlas

Season 2 of Drag Race España is still one of the best seasons of the entire franchise, and it made perfect sense for Sharonne to be crowned in the end.

Two years later, in 2024, Sharonne's season 2 costar Drag Sethlas returned for the first-ever Drag Race España All Stars and was crowned as its champion… proving once again how iconic that cast of queens really was.

'RuPaul's Drag Race UK' Season 2 — Lawrence Chaney; Tia Kofi

Another wonderful cast that gave us various queens with "winner energy" was RuPaul's Drag Race UK season 2. In 2021, Lawrence Chaney won that very competitive season and started her legendary "purple reign."

In 2024, Tia Kofi competed in the second edition of UK vs the World and showed off her impressive drag glow-up since appearing on Drag Race UK season 2. Tia was ultimately crowned as the new Queen of the Mother-Tucking World, and it felt so well-deserved.

'RuPaul's Drag Race' Season 14 — Willow Pill; Angeria Paris VanMicheals

It didn't take long for the fans and judges of Drag Race season 14 to fall completely in love with Willow Pill's drag, sense of humor, strategic skills, and life story. This was a tight competition from start to finish, but Willow still stood out as the clear winner of the season and America's Next Drag Superstar.

The Drag Race fandom also loved Angeria Paris VanMicheals since the very first moment she graced our screens in season 14. But despite getting to the finale, the Southern Belle of ATL didn't get to lip sync for the crown. A few years later, Angeria returned for the charity-themed All Stars 9 season, outperformed her competitors, and became a legendary Drag Race champion after lip syncing for the crown against Roxxxy Andrews and Vanessa Vanjie.

'Canada's Drag Race' Season 1 — Priyanka; Jimbo; Lemon

We were all stuck in the 2020 lockdown while watching season 1 of Canada's Drag Race play out, and we felt comforted and entertained by the absolute superstar that Priyanka is. In the end, she unsurprisingly snatched the crown and became the OG winner of the Canadian series.

Jimbo was another undeniable standout from Canada's Drag Race season 1, but her drag was clearly misunderstood during that first appearance in the franchise. In 2023, Jimbo's Drag Race journey was thankfully rectified with her iconic All Stars 8 crowning.

Last but certainly not least: Citrussy drag superstar Lemon went into season 2 of Canada vs the World with a solid plan and a clear state of mind: snatching the damn crown! After winning two maxi challenges, Lemon was crowned the second-ever Queen of the Mother-Pucking World and entered the International Pavilion of the Drag Race Hall of Fame.
