Which reality show would The Umbrella Academy characters thrive on?

Netflix's 'The Umbrella Academy' season 4; Peacock's 'Love Island USA' season 6
Netflix; Peacock

Out got the chance to speak to the entire main cast of the beloved Netflix series about the fourth and final season!

The 'Brellies are back and ready to for the final timeline.

The fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy, the beloved and LGBTQ-inclusive superhero series based on the comics of the same name, has finally arrived on Netflix, and while it's bittersweet to see it come to an end (it's so hard to believe the show first premiered 5 years ago!), it's nice to see our fave TV family of megapowered misfits get together one last time...

One of the things we'll miss the most about the show is the character of Viktor Hargreeves! Played by Oscar-nominated actor Elliot Page, Viktor has been a shining example of what real, authentic trans storytelling can look like on a popular, mainstream series.

Out got the chance to sit with the cast — Elliot Page, Emmy Raver Lampman, Justin H. Min, David Castañeda, Tom Hopper, Robert Sheehan, Ritu Arya, and Aidan Gallagher — and we got the lowdown on saying goodbye to The Umbrella Academy, especially since it has meant so much to so many fans!

Out: Elliot, Viktor is one of my all time favorite LGBTQ+ characters in all of superhero media, and all media in general. His story is rich, nuanced, complex, complicated. How much are you going to miss playing Viktor? I know you had a hand in developing him too, so how much are you going to miss stepping into his shoes and telling his story?

Elliot Page: I'm really, I'm going to miss it. The moment it really hit me was when we wrapped, I sensed it, but it was when we were doing ADR...

I realized as we were finishing, I was like, 'Oh my God, this is the last time I will speak as Viktor, say lines as Viktor...' I got very emotional and I think as an actor, I just feel so incredibly lucky to have gotten to have this experience over four seasons and to have had the ability to go through what I've gone through personally and have that be welcomed into the show and not pushed away. It was an incredible opportunity and I'll never forget it.

Emmy, Viktor and Allison's relationship is also very complex and they've had their ups and downs, but it's also one of my favorite things, one of my favorite friendships and sibling relationships. How much are you going to miss that the most and playing, especially playing it with Elliot Page?

Emmy Raver-Lampman: I think it is that I think we have become the closest of friends and he is a staple in my life, and I think that evolved from us meeting a couple months before we started filming and him being one of the first people that I got to work with and just being so welcoming and incredible and such a teacher to me, and we just became really, really close. I think our characters like the yo-yo and the push-and-pull that they constantly had of working together and then hating each other and then kind of getting a little bit of it back. It was so fun and difficult too because we get on so well and we have such a great, beautiful friendship, but then having to hate each other on camera was really tricky, but also so fun. I would never yell at him, but then I really got to yell at him.

I will absolutely miss that. I mean, I don't need to say that I'll miss our friendship, because you're in my life forever now, but yeah, I will get to miss being able to play and just have so much fun on camera and just kind of move through a huge chunk of years as these characters.

@Raffy Ermac asked Elliot Page about his last season has Viktor Hargreeves and we are holding our hearts at the answer. #umbrellaacademy #viktorharvgreeves #netflix #tvshow #season4

For fun, we also asked the 'Brellies what reality show they think their respective characters would thrive on the most, and while there were some varied answers, let's just say there are a lot of Love Island fans in the house!

Out: What's the reality show do y'all think that your all characters would thrive on?

Justin H. Min: I love that question.

David Castañeda: What was that the name of that one, The 100...?

Justin H. Min: Physical: 100! It's a Korean reality show. It's really, really good.

David Castañeda: It's almost like American Ninja Warrior kind of thing, right? Yeah. What about you, Love Island? Yeah,

Justin H. Min: I would love to see Ben on Love Island.

David Castañeda: Yeah, I think you'd do great. That would be great. Be like a freaking maverick.

Robert Sheehan: What about Below Deck? I think Klaus would do well on Below Deck. He'd be riding all around. He'd be riding everything that moves on the cruise ship.

Tom Hopper: I think Luther would give a good crack at Love Island.

Robert Sheehan: Yeah. Luther would be great on Love Island.

Out: Would he be a first Islander r or a bombshell?

Tom Hopper: I don't know enough about the show to know what that is!

Out: We'll say he's a bombshell!

Robert Sheehan: Yeah, go bombshell.

Ritu Arya: I don't watch much reality TV myself. I used to watch Big Brother...

Aidan Gallagher: Andy Cohen does one with all the reality shows. I'd love to see the cast of The Umbrella Academy on that and just hash it out.

Elliot Page: Yeah, there's all kinds of reality shows...

Emmy Raver-Lampman: There's a bartending mixology show on Netflix that I feel Viktor would be really great on. I feel like he would be really good on that.

Elliot Page: Yeah!

Emmy Raver-Lampman: I think Allison would be a great judge on a fashion show, like on Project Runway. You know what I'm saying? Okay!

And we also had to ask The Umbrella Academy family how it felt getting the Hargreeves back together for one last season, especially after they get their powers back, and their answers were so sweet!

Out: Final season, you all lost your powers but are then getting them back, so how was it to get the Hargreeves back one final time for one last go around?

Justin H. Min: I mean, so bittersweet, right? I mean, again, very grateful that we knew going in that it was going to be our final season. So we were able to sort of cherish every moment we had together. But of course super sad.

David Castañeda: I mean I came into it really trying to squeeze as much out of it. Every minute, every long night, every 10 hour turnaround where they would have to tell us we had to come back to work sooner than later. I was happy to be able to do it. Just to be able to be around this group of people at the same time together on set, probably won't happen again. So I really wanted to take that in.
