Vanderpump Villa is packed to the brim with drama, chaos, and, most importantly, fun.
Premiering on Hulu this April, the series is the Vanderpump name in all its glory, and if Lisa Vanderpump is involved, you already know it's bound to be luxurious — and messy.
Out chatted with Lisa and the staff of Chateau Rosabelle to talk all things Villa, exes, and even a little bit of Scandoval.
Over the past year, Vanderpump Rules has dominated our television sets and just about every social channel that would cover it. We asked Lisa how the dynamics of the new staff had changed being that they have to live together under one roof, and in the most Lisa Vanderpump fashion, she answered, “Well I'm glad I haven’t spent the last 12 years living with the cast of Vanderpump Rules that’s all I can say. After doing it for a couple of months I’m like holy shit.”
When asked if Scandoval made her hesitant to start a whole new crew Lisa responded, saying, “Scandoval was something unique and I don’t know why it became like a subject at the White House correspondent dinner, I have no idea. Adele concerts in her break talking about it, like CNN, Good Morning America. I think it's because people have been invested in that show for so long, the audience felt cheated because they thought they knew everything.”
Lisa also opened up about her friendship with THE Trixie Mattel when asked if she would ever consider a collaboration with her. “If I did this show again, yes Trixie should be a guest. I have so much respect for Trixie Mattel, so much. She’s such a great friend, so professional, so dedicated and I have a lot of respect.”
We also got to chat with a few of the Chateau Rosabelle staff. We asked Andre Mitchell (mixologist) about his very emotional moment with Lisa early on in the season, he had a heartfelt response. “It made me feel loved more than anything,” he said. “The thing about Lisa people probably don’t know is that she cares and she loves. That right there had me cry.”
The crew of the villa were asked how they could possibly prepare to live in a chateau with 12 strangers under Lisa Vanderpump’s rule. Emily Kovacs, one of the chateaus housekeepers, said it best. “There is no way you can prepare for this, especially once I met everybody, the big personalities that were in that house.” she told Out. “There was absolutely nothing I could have done to prepare, it was a learning experience.”
