'The White Lotus All-Stars': A dream cast for the gays
An All-Stars season of 'White Lotus'?! We're checked in!

Nicholas Duvernay; Lukas Gage; Parker Posey; Carrie Coon; Theo James on HBO's The White Lotus.
HBO
As the third season of The White Lotus comes to an end, there's no denying that showrunner Mike White feels incredibly invested in the world-building aspect of this messed-up universe featuring tourists who terrorize luxury hotels and the chaotic staff members working for the resort who cater to their needs.
Between dozens of Emmy nominations and record-breaking ratings, new viewers keep discovering The White Lotus and, upon going back to the first season, end up meeting little ole Dillon (played by Lukas Gage).
Gage didn't hold anything back as the cover star for Attitude magazine in December 2024, declaring that he'd "do anything with Mike White, or The White Lotus. It's probably my favorite thing I've ever done."
The actor went even further and pitched "an all-star season" of the hit HBO series. "They could totally do it," Gage argued. "It hasn't been done before [with a scripted show]."
(L-R) Mel White and Mike White on The Amazing Race; Mike White on Survivor: David vs. Goliath.
CBS
Even though the concept of an all-stars season may sound foreign to non-reality TV fans, it's worth noting that White is a massive fan of the genre. In the past, White has competed in non-celebrity flagship seasons of two huge reality shows in the U.S.: The Amazing Race and Survivor.
White first competed in season 14 of The Amazing Race alongside his father, Mel White, in 2009 — placing sixth overall. (Fun fact: White was eliminated from the race during a "leg" that took place in Thailand!)
In 2018, White went on Survivor season 37, a.k.a. Survivor: David vs. Goliath, where was able to outwit, outplay, and outlast his competitors and made it to the end alongside Nick Wilson and Angelina Keeley. White finished as runner-up with three jury votes, whereas Wilson received seven jury votes and won the season.
Ever since Lukas Gage pitched the idea of The White Lotus: All-Stars, it's been living rent-free in the minds of many fans of the show. Now that season 3 has ended and even more speculation is coming up about characters that should go back for another week of chaotic fun, the time has come to outline a gag-worthy cast of beloved fan-favorites, iconic villains that everyone loves to hate, characters with plenty of room for growth, and also some eye-candy to go along with the stunning backdrops of these destination seasons.
Keep scrolling to see the list of iconic characters we'd love to see return for a still-unofficial edition of The White Lotus: All-Stars!
Adam DiMarco as Albie Di Grasso (Season 2)
Adam DiMarco on The White Lotus season 2.
HBO
Albie Di Grasso is easily one of the most complicated characters of this HBO franchise. Expertly played by Adam DiMarco, this young man started season 2 with the best intentions in the world — constantly clapping back at sexist and generally disrespectful comments made by his father and grandfather toward all women.
By the end of season 2, it seemed like Albie had learned a lesson… but perhaps not the one that viewers expected? It'd be really interesting to see what person this young man became after his original trip on The White Lotus.
Aubrey Plaza as Harper Spiller (Season 2)
Aubrey Plaza on on The White Lotus season 2.
HBO
The characters from The White Lotus season 2 tend to be very nuanced, and they typically go through quite a few changes while vacationing at the luxury resort. Aubrey Plaza, well-known for bringing different layers to her performances, brought out some fascinating and deeply complicated sides of Harper Spiller as a character in the series — a top-tier performance within the pantheon of White Lotus icons.
Carrie Coon as Laurie Duffy (Season 3)
Carrie Coon on The White Lotus season 3.
HBO
Let's not beat around the bush: Carrie Coon was the ultimate breakout star of The White Lotus season 3 — and the gays want (need!) her back on Mike White's universe as soon as possible.
Beatrice Grannò as Mia (Season 2)
Beatrice Grannò on on The White Lotus season 2.
HBO
Beatrice Grannò played Mia on The White Lotus season 2 — an aspiring singer whose best friend, Lucia (Simona Tabasco), kept encouraging her to let loose and have some fun with these tourists with too much time and too much money in their hands. Fans loved these two characters in a surprisingly unanimous way, which was heartwarming to see and definitely solidified both of them as must-be-back for an All-Stars edition.
Brittany O'Grady as Paula (Season 1)
Brittany O'Grady on on The White Lotus season 1.
HBO
Season 1 of The White Lotus had a pretty straightforward concept as it drew a line between the haves and the have-nots. For Paula (played by Brittany O'Grady), the gray areas were definitely clearer as she traveled to Hawaii with her best friend, Olivia (Sydney Sweeney), and Olivia's rich family. During that week at The White Lotus, though, Paula found herself relating to the staff members and challenging the very white Mossbacher family on their views. It would be great to watch her come back a little bit older and wiser.
Fred Hechinger as Quinn Mossbacher (Season 1)
Brittany O'Grady on The White Lotus season 1.
HBOSeason 1's Quinn Mossbacher, played by actor Fred Hechinger: What a guy! Operating on vibes only, Quinn wasn't loudly rejecting his family (like his sister) or denying that anyone's feelings were not valid (like his father). But he did sharpen his perspective on the world throughout the season and decided, in the end, to stay in Hawaii for a while in order to experience the real world he had fallen in love with.
It would be lovely to see Quinn back for an All-Stars edition.
Haley Lu Richardson as Portia (Season 2)
Haley Lu Richardson on The White Lotus season 2.
HBO
Haley Lu Richardson delivered what many would consider a challenging task: she turned a character as annoying and lost as Portia on The White Lotus season 2 into someone that fans around the world rooted for, related to, and even started to dress alike… Despite the fact that Portia was far from being a "style icon," let's just say that!
Jake Lacy as Shane Patton (Season 1)
Jake Lacy on The White Lotus season 1.
HBO
Put some respect on Shane Patton's name as this character pioneered the White Lotus archetype we'd like to call, "straight white man who is fully grown and filthy rich but somehow can't enjoy his vacation due to feeling wronged by the world around him." No evidence even needed!
Jake Lacy's performance as the nagging and nudging Shane was one for the books, and viewers have now seen a few other iterations of this characters in subsequent seasons. This is definitely a character that White Lotus fans love to hate… and who would make a huge mess during an All-Stars season.
Jon Gries as Greg Hunt (Seasons 1, 2, and 3)
Jon Gries on The White Lotus season 3.
HBO
It's hard to think of any diehard White Lotus fans who would enjoy the return of Greg Hunt — or whatever name he picks in his next rebranding — in yet another season of the HBO series.
On the other hand, Jon Gries is a phenomenal actor who delivers a performance that keeps us on our toes from start to finish. Greg has also become the glue that keeps the three first seasons of the show together, and not featuring him at all in an All-Stars season would just feel weird.
Greg Hunt is evil, and bad, and murderous, and odd, but he's also a great character to keep everyone tense whenever he's hanging around.
Kekoa Kekumano as Kai (Season 1)
Kekoa Kekumano on The White Lotus season 1.
HBO
HBO viewers have gotten to know several characters like Kai (played by Kekoa Kekumano) after three seasons of The White Lotus. Much like other names included on this list, we don't actually know much about Kai, but we know enough to be curious about what he's up to.
Leo Woodall as Jack (Season 2)
Leo Woodall on The White Lotus season 2.
HBO
If you literally look up the meaning of the meme, "A hot new bombshell has entered the villa," you'll find out that it is a reference to sexy new contestants entering the Love Island villa looking for love on the massively popular dating show.
But when it comes to The White Lotus, the clearest definition to that meme is Jack, the supreme British bombshell played by Leo Woodall. While the main gay within the group of "these gays, they're trying to murder me" refers to Jack as his nephew, it is clarified over the course of season 2 that Jack is probably more of an escort who was labeled as a "nephew" to avoid any awkward details.
Since a made-up character can't enter the actual Love Island villa, we'd love to see Jack in another luxury resort during an All-Stars season full of chaotic adventures.
Lukas Gage as Dillon (Season 1)
Lukas Gage on The White Lotus season 1.
HBO
When asked which character he'd like to revisit in an interview from March 2024, Lukas Gage told Out that he "had to go with Dillon."
Gage also referenced Tyler, his character on Euphoria, but argued that Tyler "did something really bad, so I can't really support him." The actor added:
"But Dillon didn't do anything. He just did ketamine and hooked up with his boss. He needs to take over The White Lotus!"
Besides Gage being one of the first White Lotus actors to seriously pitch this All-Stars concept in interviews, we'd actually love to see Dillon back spending a week on a chaotic luxury resort. Surely, his story can't just end with a rimjob, right? It's about damn time for fans to get a "vibe check" on Dillon.
Meghann Fahy as Daphne Sullivan (Season 2)
Meghann Fahy on The White Lotus season 2.
HBO
The face journey that launched a thousand theories. By the grand finale of The White Lotus season 2, it was already crystal-clear that this show had the emotional gravitas to pull off interesting characters like Daphne Sullivan (played by Meghann Fahy). But something did change within us after that iconic scene of Daphne reacting to Ethan's (Will Sharpe) claims that Cameron had been cheating on her during the trip.
An All-Stars season of The White Lotus without Meghann Fahy as Daphne… that just couldn't possibly happen.
Molly Shannon as Kitty Patton (Season 1)
Molly Shannon on The White Lotus season 1.
HBO
Molly Shannon's commitment to every comedic role she gets to play not only delivers hilarious performances, but is also quite a masterclass in acting. The insufferable Kitty Patton from the first season of White Lotus has a lot in common with several white women who have come and gone in seasons 2 and 3 — and yes, we obviously include Victoria (Parker Posey) in that group. Bring back Kitty Patton!
Nicholas Duvernay as Zion Lindsey (Season 3)
Nicholas Duvernay on The White Lotus season 3.
HBO
A case could be made for both Zion (Nicholas Duvernay) and Belinda Lindsey (Natasha Rothwell) to be brought back for an All-Stars. On the other hand, season 3 absolutely felt like a very clear — and great! — conclusion to Belinda's standalone story in the series.
Instead of risking Belinda's fate yet again on such an unpredictable show, it would be interesting to see Zion back considering that he was gone for so much of season 3 and genuinely shocked viewers when he turned into such a (reckless but also) effective negotiator at finale. What else are we missing? We'd love to see it.
Parker Posey as Victoria Ratliff (Season 3)
Parker Posey on The White Lotus season 3.
HBO
"There's such funny words. Like, I love… Tsunami! Buddhism! Nooo! Piper, nooo!"
We're gay here, and (probably) so are you. We really don't have to explain why Parker Posey needs to reprise her role as Victoria Ratliff for our dream cast of The White Lotus: All-Stars to work, do we? You know what to do, Mike White. So do it.
Sabrina Impacciatore as Valentina (Season 2)
Sabrina Impacciatore on The White Lotus season 2.
HBO
For all the titillating "gay stuff" that viewers get between male characters who, at times, don't even actually identify as gay, we must acknowledge that The White Lotus could feature more lesbian sex scenes, too.
After the entire world had already fallen in love with Sabrina Impacciatore's delicate and powerful performance as Valentina — the resort manager at The White Lotus in Sicily — the character went on to have a sapphic awakening toward the end of season 2. Watching this revered character have such a stunning moment of intimacy in bed with another woman felt cathartic, and Impacciatore has absolutely earned herself a spot in an All-Stars season of the show.
Sam Nivola as Lochlan Ratliff and Patrick Schwarzenegger as Saxon Ratliff (Season 3)
Sam Nivola and Patrick Schwarzenegger on The White Lotus season 3.
HBO
In one of his last interviews prior to the season 3 finale of The White Lotus, Patrick Schwarzenegger sneakily told The Hollywood Reporter that he had "heard rumors of them doing an all-star season." The feature story from THR then noted Mike White's reaction to the idea. "I'd love to do that," the showrunner said.
Schwarzenegger continued the through line going into full speculation mode:
"They could get all the douche guys in one hotel together. Mike said that, one day, when we were on set. He was like, 'Oh my god, it'd be so good to get you, Jake Lacy, and Theo James in the same room."
Casey Bloys, CEO of HBO, added even more fuel to the fire by theorizing that perhaps Molly Shannon (Lacy's mom in season 1) could know Parker Posey (Schwarzenegger's mom in season 3) through some weird coincidence. "There are so many connections between all these awful people," Boys noted.
But for Saxon to return in an All-Stars season of The White Lotus, the series must raise the stakes to an All-Stars level, too. To that end, Saxon and Lochlan (played by Sam Nivola) should be brought back for a week at The White Lotus resort — confronting their issues face to face and hopefully finally being able to leave the oddities behind.
There's gotta be a reason why Lochlan went from experiencing "twink death" to "twink rebirth" within the very same episode. Once Lochlan figures out who he is (or lands on a persona that he think he is), we want grown-adult versions of Saxon and Lochlan hashing things out on HBO.
Simona Tabasco as Lucia Greco (Season 2)
Simona Tabasco on The White Lotus season 2.
HBO
Lucia Greco (played by Simona Tabasco) was a bona fide superstar who steamrolled through The White Lotus season 2. She had a blast sleeping around with the horny tourists visiting Sicily, spent an entire week at the luxury resort for free, and walked out of the entire experience €50,000 richer.
"Baby, you can't read the doll!" And that's all we can say on that one.
Sydney Sweeney as Olivia Mossbacher (Season 1)
Sydney Sweeney on The White Lotus season 1.
HBO
Sydney Sweeney might've made a name for herself on Euphoria, but it is unwise to sleep on her White Lotus performance as Olivia Mossbacher — the original Piper Ratliff!
After spending an entire vacation snapping back at her parents to virtue-signal how different she was from the rest of them, Olivia's run in the first season of the HBO series ended with her basically admitting, as Piper did, that she loves being a straight white rich girl in a family that can provide her with privilege and comfort.
Tayme Thapthimthong as Gaitok (Season 3)
Tayme Thapthimthong on The White Lotus season 3.
HBO
There's clearly a lot more to Gaitok (played by Tayme Thapthimthong) than what we were able to see on The White Lotus season 3. There was something very interesting about a security guard at a luxury resort who could, by all means, get the guns and the training he needed to become a threatening authority while guarding The White Lotus. However, this was never Gaitok's real intention — he only entertained the idea to impress Mook (played by Lalisa Manobal), his love interest.
With that romantic storyline going nowhere, we'd love to see an evolved Gaitok back on our screens for an All-Stars season.
Theo James as Cameron Sullivan (Season 2)
Theo James on The White Lotus season 2.
HBO
Theo James playing Cameron Sullivan in season 2 was not only a showcase of eye-candy, but also a clear demonstration that this actor is much more talented than some viewers give him credit for. Yes, the man looks great, and could be cast in an All-Stars edition of The White Lotus for just that reason. But, frankly, Cameron was a very tricky character for an actor to pull off — and James did, somehow, embody this toxic and impulsive man in an interesting way that we don't often see on television.
Will Sharpe as Ethan Spiller (Season 2)
Will Sharpe on The White Lotus season 2.
HBO
The White Lotus season 2 had plenty of gorgeous men just walking around wearing all sorts of revealing clothes — or even no clothes at all. Much like Theo James, however, Will Sharpe's performance as Ethan Spiller gave viewers so much more than just a handsome man experiencing intimacy problems with his wife, Harper (Aubrey Plaza). An All-Stars comeback for Sharpe in the series would be very exciting.
All three seasons of HBO's The White Lotus are streaming on Max.
