Editor's note: This article contains SPOILERS for episode 1 of The White Lotus season 3. It also references characters and storylines from the first two seasons of the HBO series.

HBO's The White Lotus season 3 is here, and fans of the show are already obsessed with this lineup of rich tourists, staff members working at The White Lotus in Thailand, and other surprising characters entering or returning to the series.

Looking at this chaotic list of personalities who will surely clash sooner rather than later, the Carrie Bradshaw that exists inside of us couldn't help but wonder: "Magic mirror on the wall, who's the richest, wildest, and most dangerous of them all?"

Jaclyn Lemon (played by Michelle Monaghan)

Jaclyn Lemon is a very recognizable TV actress who other visitors and staff members constantly recognize at The White Lotus resort. On the show, Jaclyn is one of three long-time friends (alongside Kate and Laurie) who take a girls' trip after not seeing each other for a while.

Michelle Monaghan

Critically acclaimed performances in 2005's Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, 2007's Gone Baby Gone, 2008's Trucker, and the first season of HBO's True Detective have established Michelle Monaghan as a big Hollywood star. Starting with episode 1, it's clear that Jaclyn Lemon will be a standout character throughout the season.

Laurie (played by Carrie Coon)

Laurie is one of three long-time friends on a girls' trip after not seeing each other for a while. The character is also described as being a recent divorcée who works as a corporate lawyer in New York.

Carrie Coon

Carrie Coon has starred in movies and TV shows like Gone Girl (2014), HBO's The Leftovers, and The Post (2017). Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe might recognize her performance as Proxima Midnight in Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and/or from playing Callie Spengler in Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021) and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024).

Coon has been nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards for her performances as Gloria Bungle on FX's Fargo series and Bertha Russell on HBO's The Gilded Age.

Kate (played by Leslie Bibb)

From Austin, Texas, Kate is a country club wife and one of the three long-time friends who are on a girls' trip after not seeing each other for a while.

Leslie Bibb

Leslie Bibb is entering The White Lotus in 2025 after having just appeared on Apple TV+'s series Palm Royale. Bibb's best-known credits include playing Christine Everhart in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (2008's Iron Man; 2010's Iron Man 2), 200's Law Abiding Citizen, and 2010's Miss Nobody.

Timothy Ratliff (played by Jason Isaacs)

Timothy Ratliff is a wealthy financier who seems to have gotten himself in trouble — at least based on the cryptic phone calls that he keeps receiving while on vacation with his wife, Victoria, and their three children at The White Lotus.

Jason Isaacs

Most Harry Potter fans will immediately recognize Jason Isaacs as the despicable Lucius Malfoy. Beyond that, the actor has been nominated for a Golden Globe for 2008's The State Within, and starred in films such as The Death of Stalin (2017) and Mass (2021). It's also worth noting that Isaacs was Dr. Hunter Aloysius 'Hap' Percy on Netflix's gone-too-soon series The OA.

Fun fact: when asked by Deadline if he'd like to return to the Wizarding World on the upcoming Harry Potter TV series on Max, Isaacs joked that he's "hoping to come back as Hermione" and already sent his audition tape.

Victoria Ratliff (played by Parker Posey)

Victoria Ratliff is on vacation with her husband, Timothy, and their three children. In a similar way to past characters on The White Lotus, it's pretty challenging to get a good sense of who this woman is and what her journey in the series will look like. She does seem to rely on certain pills to get through the day (and night). Considering what this show is, one has to wonder if these substances are just supporting Victoria as an eccentric character or actually leading up to a bigger story that unfolds over time.

Parker Posey

Parker Posey is a certified Hollywood legend and a gay icon. Her prolific career includes credits like 1993's Dazed and Confused, 2000's Scream 3, 2004's Blade: Trinity, 2006's Superman Returns, and 2023's Beau Is Afraid. She's also known for playing June Harris on Lost in Space and making an appearance on 2024's TV adaptation of Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Saxon Ratliff (played by ​Patrick Schwarzenegger)

Category is: "I'm the eldest boy" Succession realness!

Saxon Ratliff is the eldest son of Timothy and Victoria Ratliff. He has a younger sister, Piper, and a younger brother, Lochlan. Oddly confident and absolutely unhinged, Saxon seems to combine the "Stupid Rich Kids" vibes of Shane Patton (Jake Lacy in season 1) and the "Sexy And I Know It" cockiness of Cameron Sullivan (Theo James in season 2).

One would be remiss not to mention the very strangebehavior from Saxon toward his younger brother, Lochlan, which often comes across as sleazy and confusing.

​Patrick Schwarzenegger

Patrick Schwarzenegger is the son of actor-turned-politician Arnold Schwarzenegger and journalist Maria Shriver. (Another fun fact: Patrick's sister, Katherine Schwarzenegger, has been married to Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt since 2019.)

Schwarzenegger was 10 years old when he starred in his first-ever film, 2006's The Benchwarmers. As an adult actor, fans will likely remember his acting roles as Charlie Reed in Midnight Sun, Donny Mitchell on The Terminal List, Todd Peterson on The Staircase, and his splashy — but surprisingly short — run as Luke Riordan, a.k.a. Golden Boy, on Gen V.

Piper Ratliff (played by Sarah Catherine Hook)

As a college senior and middle child to Timothy and Victoria, Piper Ratliff is majoring in religion studies and has taken a special interest in Buddhism. So far, the closest comparison to Piper within the White Lotus universe is season 1's Quinn Mossbacher (played by Fred Hechinger). This isn't an invisible character that viewers never get to learn more about, but her story arc seems intentionally divorced from the rest of the Ratliff family.

Sarah Catherine Hook

Sarah Catherine Hook made waves with her performance as Juliette Fairmont on the sapphic, vampiric Netflix series First Kill (gone too soon!). Other credits include 2020's Monsterland, 2021's Impeachment: American Crime Story, and 2024's Cruel Intentions.

Lochlan Ratliff (played by Sam Nivola)

Lochlan Ratliff is Timothy and Victoria Ratliff's youngest child — a high school senior with more similarities to his sister, Piper, than to his brother, Saxon. Unlike the rest of the Ratliff family, however, Lochlan doesn't seem to mind or even protest the very odd things that come out of Saxon's mouth.

This first episode showed Lochlan not taking the bait when Saxon asked him about porn and preferences. On the other hand, Lochlan did keep his eyes on a naked Saxon making his way toward the bathroom. Fans will need a few more episodes to understand what's happening between those two.

Sam Nivola

Sam Nivola is 21 years old in real life (not a high school senior like his character on The White Lotus). Despite his young age, Nivola has an impressive list of credits ranging from White Noise to Maestro to Eileen.

Rick Hatchett (played by Walton Goggins)

Rick Hatchett is a rugged, messy man who seems to have a chip on his shoulder at all times. Though it is assumed that he is visiting The White Lotus in Thailand to have fun, it doesn't take long for Rick to reveal his ulterior motives (and/or even a mission?) for being there.

So far, fans already know that Rick is searching for a man called Jim Hollinger, who owns the resort. However, the reasons behind that frenetic search remain unclear.

Walton Goggins

Walton Goggins is a Hollywood veteran who's starred in critically acclaimed films like 2012's Django Unchained and 2015's The Hateful Eight. He's also known for playing Boyd Crowder on the FX series Justified.

Chelsea (played by Aimee Lou Wood)

Chelsea is a free-spirit woman on a trip with her mysterious and paranoid boyfriend, Rick Hatchett. This character's synopsis also highlights that the age gap between them is pretty significant.

Aimee Lou Wood

Aimee Lou Wood's most well-known roles were on Sex Education (as Aimee Gibbs) and Living (as Margaret Harris). The actress had a pretty noteworthy 2024, too, starring in the film Seize Them! and on the TV show Daddy Issues.

Greg Hunt (played by Jon Gries)

If we were to measure how annoying it is to see Greg Hunt back for yet another season — seemingly not dealing with any consequence for all the terrible things he seems to be responsible for — it's not exactly like Emperor Palpatine randomly resurrecting in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, but it's pretty damn close!

Greg was introduced in the first season of The White Lotus, where he met Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge) and sparked up some romance with her. Despite facing health issues, Greg returned in season 2 as Tanya's husband. He did vanish from Sicily after just a few days, but he was seemingly connected to "the gays" who were "trying to murder" Tanya at the season finale.

Greg, of all people, is now the only character to appear in all three seasons of The White Lotus.

Jon Gries

Pulling off a character like Greg Hunt is no easy task, but Jon Gries doesn't disappoint. Outside of The White Lotus franchise, Gries is known for starring in 1990s projects like Get Shorty, The Pretenders, and Men in Black. Some fans might also recognize him as Uncle Rico from the 2004 comedy feature Napoleon Dynamite.

Chloe (played by Charlotte Le Bon)

Chloe is also a foreigner spending time in Thailand and interacting with other guests at The White Lotus. Unlike the other visitors, however, she's been in Thailand for a full year with her boyfriend, Greg Hunt.

Charlotte Le Bon

Charlotte Le Bon is a French Canadian actress best known for her roles in movies like The Hundred-Foot Journey, Anthropoid, and The Promise. In 2022, Le Bon made her directorial debut with the feature film Falcon Lake, which earned several nominations in the festival circuit.

Belinda Lindsey (played by Natasha Rothwell)

Belinda Lindsey is a spa manager from The White Lotus in Hawaii, as seen in the first season of HBO's The White Lotus. If you need a refresher: Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge) got very close to Belinda during her stay at the resort.

After hearing that Belinda would love to start her own business, the emotionally codependent Tanya carelessly suggested that she could join that endeavor as an investor. Alas, as soon as Tanya met a man during her vacation, Belinda was dropped as a friend, confidant, and potential business partner.

Natasha Rothwell

Despite having a memorable run on Saturday Night Live, Natasha Rothwell's breakout role turned out to be Kelli Prenny on the hit HBO comedy series Insecure by Issa Rae. Cut to 2025, and she is now one of the main characters on The White Lotus season 3. "You know what that is...? Growth."

Pornchai (played by Dom Hetrakul)

Pornchai is an employee at The White Lotus who helps Belinda settle in at the resort. He seems to be very welcoming (and perhaps even flirtatious) toward Belinda.

Dom Hetrakul

Actor Dom Hetrakul was born in Bangkok, Thailand. His noteworthy credits include 2008's Bangkok Dangerous, 2009's The Marine 2, and the limited series The Sweetest Taboo.

Mook (played by Lalisa Manobal)

Mook is a health mentor for guests staying at The White Lotus. One could argue that no one is nicer, warmer, or more easygoing than Mook. In Mike White's universe, however, you never know what those personality traits are actually all about.

Lalisa Manobal, a.k.a. Lisa from Blackpink

Lalisa Manobal… how to even begin?! Otherwise known as just Lisa, the actress, rapper, dancer, model, and singer is one of four former members of Blackpink, a K-pop girl group that is regarded as one of the most popular and successful pop music groups of all time. In December 2023, all four members of Blackpink decided to split from YG Entertainment (which manages the girl group) for their solo careers.

This pivot to solo careers has led to Jennie's acting debut on HBO's The Idol, Jisoo's impressive track record in the fashion world, Rosé's recent string of singles like "Apt." featuring Bruno Mars, and Lisa's acting debut on HBO's The White Lotus. How you like that?!

Tayme Thapthimthong

Tayme Thapthimthong, of Thai descent, was born in England. Over the years, he's starred in films like 2014's Skin Trade, 2016's Mechanic Resurrection, and 2017's Paradox. Also known for playing Pao on Farang, there's no doubt that this actor will emerge as a big heartthrob while starring in season 3 of The White Lotus.

Valentin (played by Arnas Fedaravičius)

Valentin is a staff member at The White Lotus identified as being "Russian." In episode 1, Valentin greeted all the new guests but paid special attention to the trio of girl friends traveling together.

Arnas Fedaravičius

Arnas Fedaravičius is a boxer who's been exploring an acting career in recent years. In fact, those fighting skills have even helped him land certain roles. Of note, the actor has starred in TV shows such as Tjockare än vatten, The Last Kingdom, and The Wheel of Time. He's also been in movies like 2013's Deadly Code and 2017's Access All Areas.

On Monday, Feb. 17, Fedaravičius starred in the latest digital cover star of Vogue Scandinavia. In that interview, Fedaravičius discussed the collaborative environment on set filming The White Lotus and how he felt anxious about acting alongside such experienced actors.

Zion Lindsey (played by Nicholas Duvernay)

Zion Lindsey is the Belinda's son. Though he is seen in a flash-forward in the first episode of The White Lotus season 3, we will have to wait and see what else is revealed about him as a character in episodes to come.

Nicholas Duvernay

Prior to appearing on The White Lotus season 3, Nicholas Duvernay starred in films such as Purple Hearts (with Nicholas Galitzine and Sofia Carson as costars) and My Dead Dad. The actor also played Drew on Peacock's Bel-Air reboot and Lindor on BET's Tyler Perry's Assisted Living.

Pam works in the wellness program at The White Lotus resort in Thailand.

Morgana O'Reilly

Morgana O'Reilly, an actress from New Zealand, starred in over 200 episodes of the Australian television soap opera as Naomi Canning. Otherwise, she's been in movies and TV shows like Mean Mums, Friends Like Her, Inside, and 2014's Housebound.

Not much has been disclosed about Fabian so far, except that he's the general manager of The White Lotus. This series has a history of featuring very memorable hotel managers, so fans should be keeping an eye out for Fabian.

Christian Friedel played Rudolf Höss in the 2023 critically acclaimed The Zone of Interest. He is otherwise known for playing Gräf on Babylon Berlin and starring in 2015's 13 Minutes.

Amrita is a staff member at The White Lotus who conducts stress management and meditation exercises with guests.

Shalini Peiris

Born in Sri Lanka, Shalini Peiris was raised in Hong Kong and subsequently moved to England. She's been in projects like The Ark, The Danny & Mick Show, and even had a cameo in 2021's Zack Snyder's Justice League.

Sritala Hollinger is one of the owners of The White Lotus and is credited as the visionary who came up with the resort's famous wellness program. She's married to Jim Hollinger, a man that Rick Hatchett is determined to find.

Lek Patravadi, a.k.a. Patravadi Mejudhon

Patravadi Mejudhon, also known as Lek Patravadi, is a veteran Thai actress who's appeared in films and TV shows like 1975's Grounded God, 1977's 1 2 3 Monster Express, and 2018's In Family We Trust.

Jim Hollinger, Sritala's husband, is described as a "very famous man in Thailand." Alas, not much is known about the character so far.

Scott Glenn

Scott Glenn has been cast to play Jim on The White Lotus. Much like the character, though, the actor keeps a pretty low profile. Glenn's notable roles include Bart Mancuso in The Hunt for Red October, Jack Crawford in The Silence of the Lambs (1991), 2012's The Bourne Legacy, Stick on Netflix's Daredevil series, and Kevin Garvey on HBO's The Leftovers.
