The second season of YellowjacketsYellowjackets is officially in full swing!

After a wild first round, the beloved — and inclusive — Showtime series is back on our screens to give us more twists, turns, and drama than ever before, and Out contributor Stacey Yvonne got to celebrate at the recent red carpet premiere, chatting with the show's star-studded cast the includes legends like Christina Ricci, Melanie Lynskey, Juliette Lewis, and so many more!

Out also got to speak to stars Jasmin Savoy Brown and Liv Hewson to talk specifically about Yellowjackets' queer representation.

"Taissa's character journey, her arc, has nothing to do with her Blackness or her queerness, or even really her femaleness, for that matter," Brown said when asked about her character's journey in the series so far. "She's just a person in a terrible situation in terrible circumstances doing her best who happens to be queer, who happens to be Black, who happens to be female. And I think that's the importance."

"It's really important to me," Hewson, who plays Van, said when asked about getting to portray a queer character in a queer relationship on a popular television series like Yellowjackets. "It's something that I really want to do on this show and as an actor generally. I'm thrilled that it's something that I get to do, that we get to do, on this show."

New episodes of Yellowjacketsair and stream weekly on Showtime.
