Lily Tomlin

Lily Tomlin has been a pioneering actress since her career began in 1970 with her role on the variety show Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In. An out lesbian since the 70's when she met her wife, Jane Wagner, Tomlin has enjoyed a long career both on the stage and on the big screen. Known as the voice of Ms. Frizzle on the quintessential mid-90's educational children's show The Magic School Bus, Tomlin cemented her gay fan base in the campy 1980 cult classic 9 To 5, starring opposite Dolly Parton and Jane Fonda -- a murderous trio of gay icons that will slay forever in our hearts. Featured on the Out 100 list in 2015, Tomlin has garned recent Oscar buzz with her role as aging lesbian poet Elle in the 2015 film Grandma.
