Tim Kruger was pronounced dead on Saturday, March 1 in an official statement shared on TimTales.com's official blog — a gay adult film platform that he cofounded. Otherwise known as Marcel Boon, Kruger was one of the most popular and successful gay adult film stars in the world. He was only 44 at the time of death.
Beyond his work as a performer and collaborations with a wide range of adult film stars, Kruger also became known for directing and producing content for TimTales and fostering great relationships with industry peers. As news broke about his sudden passing, a flood of social media posts mourning his loss was shared across social media.
To honor and highlight Kruger's impact in the gay adult film industry, Out reached out to several adult film stars who discussed how the TimTales cofounder impacted their lives, careers, and even sexual awakenings. Some of his closest collaborators have shared a special message for this tribute, as well as other content creators who saw Kruger as a source of inspiration and had deep respect and admiration for the career he was able to build.
Sir Peter tells Out that he "started in the adult [film] industry because of Tim." He explains, "He gave me an opportunity, and being already a fan of his work, it was an out of body experience! He was, for me, my biggest reference. Someone to look up to and to shape my career in the way he did."
"I remember the first time I met him in Berlin, the energy he gave me — such peace, joy, and happiness," Peter adds. "He was a shy man, and I related to that a lot. Until this day, I mention him as one of most beautiful man I've ever seen, with the kindest heart! I'll miss him, beyond the legacy and icon he represents."
Ultimately, Peter considers that Kruger's passing "just hits harder and makes me think about how life is so unfair and cruel." On the other hand, Peter shares that his idol gets to "live forever through the lives that he touched."
Igor Lucios, a frequent collaborator of Kruger's on Tim Tales, has also shared a message with Out:
"Tim was a kind, gentle, and generous person — both on and off set. Sharing career stories over a glass of wine with him was always a pleasure. He gave thoughtful feedback and supported those around him. I'm grateful to have met and worked with one of my heroes in this industry, someone who made me dream about this path from an early age."
Nasty Pig model and OF creator David Alcocer, otherwise known as @dombeeef, shared the following statement with Out about Kruger's passing:
"He's an icon in the industry. Tim Tales was the studio website I remember charging my parents credit card to watch; and it was the thing that got me out the closet when confronted about the charge. Sad to hear about his loss, and regretting never being able to work with him."

Model, social media influencer, and content creator Beau Butler wrote a statement to Out that reads:
"Tim Kruger changed the game. It's a massive loss to the industry and it will be a long time until someone makes the same impact."
Content creator, model, and influencer Lee Dawson also got to work with Kruger in adult films made for Tim Tales.
"Tim was an incredible person and performer that will be remembered forever," Dawson tells Out. "A beautiful person inside and out that always used his energy to be positive, kind, and loving. He will be so, so missed."
"I looked up to Tim as an excellent example of someone that was at the top of their game, but also someone that managed to retain his kindness and respect for all those around him," Matthew Ellis, known for his OF and social media handle @atasteofmatt, tells Out. "Working with him was an incredible experience and one I will always value."
Ellis continues, "The sheer amount of condolences and heartfelt messages that his peers and friends have shared following this tragic news is a true testament of the sort of guy Tim was. It is a huge loss for everyone that knew him and for the industry as a whole."
Cuban-American creator Ruggery Valdivia remarks on the shocking news about Kruger's death. "It's so very tragic. Damn. We've lost a good one," he tells Out. "I didn't have the opportunity to meet him. I wish I had."
In a subsequent Instagram video shared on his page, Valdivia discussed Kruger's impact on him and in the gay adult film industry as a whole — praising the Tim Tales cofounder for being among "royalty for the adult industry in the gay world."
"He is such a self-made man, and an example for all of us. He's a businessman. His videos are a work of art. I admired him a lot," Valdivia explained. "This man was the king! It's a shock to the adult industry world, and anyone who knew him as well. My condolences to all of his family, his partners, and anybody that knew him."
From México City, Nicolás Bello is a botany professor, model, and content creator that fans might know as @nicobello. He writes in a message to Out:
"I met him last summer in Barcelona to film, but we were talking for a long time. I was shocked [at the news] because he's so young."
"He was really famous for porn," Bello notes, "but everyone in the industry knows that he was a really nice person with a kind soul."
