Rupert Everett makes his directorial debut with The Happy Prince, a biopic about Oscar Wilde, in which Everett will also star as the writing genius. Everett is a longtime fan of Wilde, and has performed in film adaptations of Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest and An Ideal Husband.

Even more interesting may be the fact that Colin Firth (who is dreamy to so many men and women), will star alongside Everett as Wilde friend and confidant Reginald "Reggie" Turner.

But Firth isn't stopping there! He's also going to star as gay actor-singer-writer Noel Coward in an upcoming film titled Mad Dogs and Englishmen. That's right: We're getting lots of gay Firth love. If you recall, Firth also starred as one of the suitors/dads in the film adaptation of Mamma Mia. The gay dad to be exact. Mad Dogs is set during the two weeks Coward spent at The Desert Inn in Las Vegas in 1955. There is no shoot date set as of yet.

According to Variety, also wrote the script for the film, The Happy Prince, and it's described "as a comedy with tragic undertones that tells the story of the Irish playwright's final days as he observes his own failure with ironic distance and humor." It is set to shoot in summer 2013 and is a German-U.K.-Italian co-production.

We also know of Al Pacino's obsession with Wilde, but no word yet if he will make a cameo in Everett's production.
