Can Naz & Maalik "restrain" themselves?
In writer-director's Jay Dockendorf powerful new film Naz & Maalik we get an intimate view into the world of two Muslim best friends, classmates, and lovers. The film is described as a "complicated tale of race, religion, sexuality, and undercover surveillance is an original look into the lives of an underrepresented community, and what it means to be young and disenfranchised in New York City."
Anchored by naturalistic lead performances from Kerwin Johnson Jr. and Curtiss Cook Jr., Naz & Maalik is as sexy, life-affirming, and moving as it is unforgettable.
