Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt Are Trapped On a Spaceship in Passengers

The first trailer for Passengers, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt, is out today and in it the A-list pair find themselves trapped aboard a giant spaceship full of people destined for 90 years of hypersleep.

Passengers takes place in a universe where humans are being transported to another planet, a 120-year space voyage from Earth. Lawrence and Pratt are 2 of 5,259 people placed in "hibernation" to make the journey, but, unfortunately, a short ways into the trip their pods malfunction and they wake early. Talk about getting up on the wrong side of the bed.

The space thriller is written by Jon Spaihts (Prometheus) and directed by Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game). It's set for release on December 21. Check out the trailer below.
