Tarell Alvin McCraney, the Oscar-winning writer of Moonlight, is set to script a new Disney movie musical, with David Oyelowo starring and producing.

Cyrano de Bergerac is about a gifted poet and musician who's insecure because of his big nose, and so he ghost writes for a handsome man with no talent trying to win a woman's love. Othello is about a Moorish general who's driven to kill his own wife by an evil man named Iago.
Oyelowo received praise recently for his role as Othello opposite Daniel Craig in an off-Broadway production.
The musical is set to have all the bells and whistles (high production value) of other Disney live action musicals like Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella.
