Two bits of good news: not only is there an Aretha Franklin biopic on the way, but the soul legend herself hand-picked Jennifer Hudson to play her. Could another Oscar be in Hudson's future?
Clive Davis announced the news at his annual pre-Grammys party. Davis introduced Hudson at the bash, where she sang some of Franklin's hits, including "Think" and "Respect."
Jennifer Hudson is known both for her incredible voice and her unparalleled acting talent, as can be seen in the Sex and the City movie. Just kidding. Here's hoping Hudson's Aretha is more Effie White and less Louise from St. Louis.
