There are few rock icons as indelible to queer culture -- or pop culture in general -- as Freddie Mercury, and in Bohemian Rhapsody Rami Malek will portray the music legend. In a new featurette, Malek talks about "Becoming Freddie," calling the role an "immense responsibility" but one that he was "very eager to take on." Malek explains that he didn't want to mimic mercury but instead "understand why he did what he did." This included working with a movement coach, finding the humanity of such a larger-than-life figure and wearing Lycra onesies and four-inch platform heels. "When you dress as Freddie does, it makes every day feel like its gonna be a good time," says Malek.
Bohemian Rhapsody is in theaters November 2.
