Have you ever wished all of the former female Saturday Night Live cast members would band together for a single film like a boozy, comedic version of The Avengers. Well you must have one of the Infinity Stones, because your wish has been granted. Amy Poehler will direct and star in a new Netflix film alongside fellow SNL alum Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, Paula Pell, Ana Gastayer and Rachel Dratch.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Wine Country is about a group of middle-aged women who sojourn to Napa Valley for a 50th birthday extravaganza. We're imagining a group of white-turtlenecked rich ladies straight out of a Nancy Meyers movie guzzling cabernet straight from the bottle.
Netflix announced the film with a video of its stars singing along to Kenny Loggins' "Whenever I Call You 'Friend.'"
No release date has been announced for Wine Country, but it is apparently "coming soon."
