Is Arca the new Rihanna? The Björk producer's account was taken down after he posted CGI of a woman pleasuring herself.
It seems Instagram is stifling another artist for posting images of the exposed female body. Venezuelan producer Arca, who collaborated on Bjork's latest albumVulnicura, recently uploaded a digital image of a naked woman masturbating on his Instagram.
The artwork by artist friend Jesse Kandra, was created for Arca's new song, "Vanity," but the image was promptly removed from Instagram for violating the social media platform's non-nudity policy, and the producer's account was suspended.
The visonary musician, who has also worked with Kanye West, FKA Twigs, and Kelela, took to Twitter to comment on Instagram's suffocating guidelines, writing:
This is far from the first time a progressive artist or celebrity has been disgruntled with Instagram's administration. In the past, icons like Madonna and Rihanna have also been censored for posting "inappropriate images." At least, it looks like Arca has found himself in good company.
Do you think the artwork is offensive?
