Rihanna Pulls Double Duty in Two New Videos for 'Work'

Alas, two mediocre videos don't make one great video—or even one good one.

Guys we need to talk about what's going on with Rihanna. I'm really disappointed in whomever's been handling the rollout of ANTI--not to compare the two, but Bey would stand for none of these shenanigans.

"Work" came out like a month ago, followed almost immediately by ANTI's unexpected leak. In the three intermediate weeks, Beyonce dropped a song, a video, a movement and a tour while Rihanna dropped out of the Grammys at the last minute and postponed her own tour.

Bey is the model of ruthless efficieny one expects of a global superstar. And with the Swifts, Gagas et al of the world continuously snatching wigs and trophies, who's asleep at the wheel of the S.S. Rihanna?

Now, as if to make up for RiRi's relative absence since "Work" clocked in, the pop star has released not one but two videos for the dancehall banger. But is it enough?

Short answer, no.

I mean, I really wanted to forgive and forget based on this coat alone--

--because if there's one thing Rihanna can do it's make a goddamn entrance--but aside from some decent winding and twerking, that's all the first video has to offer. And the second barely even warrants being called a video.

No wonder Rihanna's teamed up with Samsung because she's clearly phoning it in. Or someone is. Which is a shame since ANTI is actually pretty good. Doesn't it deserve better? Don't we all deserve better? Even if it wasn't a hit on par with her past singles, at least "Bitch Better Have My Money" showed some effort, showed some vision, showed a wardrobe budget.

So where's the work for "Work"? Check for answers in the two videos below:
