BREAKING: Prince Dead at 57

Well, nothing will ever be good again. 2016, haven't you taken enough? First Bowie, now this? Prince, the best thing to come out of Minnesota and--without the risk of being hyperbolic--one of the greatest musicians, popstars, entertainerts, and just sheer talents ever, has died.

According to TMZ:

Prince's body was discovered at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota early Thursday morning.

Multiple sources connected to the singer confirmed he had passed.

The singer -- full name Prince Rogers Nelson -- had a medical emergency on April 15th that forced his private jet to make an emergency landing in Illinois. But he appeared at a concert the next day to assure his fans he was okay. His people told TMZ he was battling the flu.

The Guardian has confirmed his passing.

Eerily enough, Prince's protege Vanity (nee Denise Mathews) also died this year, also at 57. Do yourself a favor and listen to any number of the great Prince songs and albums he put out in his near-40 year career.
