A Reunion of Reunions: ABBA On Stage After 33 Years

The power pop foursome from Sweden appeared at an exlusive event at a Stockholm hotel over the weekend.

Time flies when you're a dancing queen. The last time that Anni, Benny, Bjorn, and Agnetha performed publicly together was for British TV in 1982, and aside from an isolated appearance here and there, the crooners responsible for "SOS," "Fernando," "Knowing Me Knowing You" and "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!"--not to mention a musical Meryl Streep movie--have remained on what was thought to be a lasting break.

Now, to mark the 50th anniversary of the group's initial inception, the band reunited in Stockholm for a private event, accompanied by fellow musicians and friends.

Instagram quickly took note of the historic meeting, and although video footage has yet to emerge and there are no official announcements regarding more performances, our appetites are duly whetted...
