“I just love her!” the iconic country star revealed.

Imagine: The stage lights flare as Dolly Parton and Adele cross the stage--hair piled to heaven--and start singing "Jolene."

Got chills? Of course you do.

Well, it's only a dream right now--but one that Parton would love to see become a reality.

"I love her!" Parton said recently of the British pop star. "I would love to do something with her. I just love her. I love how she looks, I love how she sings, I love how she is. Maybe write a song? Maybe do a duet. So pass that word along!"

For her 43rd album releasing this month, Parton's song "Head Over High Heels" has a lyric that calls Adele out by name.

"I put on my tight dress, hair piled on my head, painting my lips red and my eyes like Adele!"

Both Parton and Adele share dedicated gay fans that they both have openly supported throughout their careers. So this musical duo is basically a match made in a queer musical heaven.

Adele, better pick up the phone. Someone's trying to say hello.
