The upbeat pop ballad has us so excited for Rob Townsend's debut solo album.
Rob Townsend, formerly of the Americana band The Belleville Outfit, released his new punchy pop single, "Time to Turn the Heat On," in anticipation of his upcoming debut album, How To (make an album in 14 days).
"'Time To Turn The Heat On' is about the moment when you're sitting alone at home and the radiators come on for the first time in the fall/winter. That's always marked a pretty strong reflective moment for me," Rob Townsend told Out about the new single."I went through a gnarly break up this year. This song, in a nutshell, is the story of that--a bird's eye view of it. Funny thing is that I started writing it before that happened. That'll teach me to write the end of the story before the end of the story."
How To (make an album in 14 days) will be released September 9.
