Munroe Bergdorf Flaunts Her 'Body' in UK Singer Kamille's New Video

Munroe Bergdorf

We're here for the transgender model, DJ, and activist's pop culture takeover.

If the past few months have proven anything, it's that this is Munroe Bergdorf's world and we're just living in it. The transgender model, DJ, and activist who rose to prominence after L'Oreal shamefully fired her after she called out white supremacy has had a busy few months. She clapped back at the beauty brand by signing on as the new face of Illamasqua's Beauty Spotlight, shut down Piers Morgan for his use of the n-word, and performed Maya Angelou's iconic poem "Still I Rise" for Dazed.

In her latest feat, Bergdorf linked up with R&B artist Kamille for the new track "Body." It's the British musician's debut single after years of working behind the scenes as one of music's best pop songwriters--she previously wrote Little Mix's number one singles "Shout Out To My Ex" and "Black Magic." On "Body," she sings about going off on shallow men and the power and beauty in self-love and, for the video, Bergdorf joined a host of other people of all ages and sizes to celebrate diverse bodies.

As she explained to Fader, the track is "about my own personal experiences, as well as those of others. It's about the way it feels when someone looks at you and makes a judgement before getting to know you. We all have things about our appearance that speak louder than we want sometimes." If there were ever a spokeswoman for body positivity, Bergdorf is the perfect fit. Watch the video in full, here.
